This cover should be considered when buying a Tonneau cover for your truck. I wanted a Tonneau cover for my new F-150, having previously purchased a BAKFlip from Bakindustries for my son's F-150. I was again going to purchase a BAKFlip. However, my new F-150 had an automatic tailgate, and I didn't want to mess around raising the cover before closing the tailgate. Following some research, I opted for the Gator EFX Hard Tri-Fold Truck Bed Tonneau Cover, and it's an advantage for me because I could open and close the tailgate without lifting the bed cover. A bonus was that it was more cost-effective than the BAKflip. It took about an hr to fit, taking my time to ensure a good, snug fit. Looks fantastic, and the quality is great. Installation was straightforward, as the included instructions were perfect. The only area where the BAKFlip has this particular model beaten is that you can fold back all 3 panels; with the Gator EFX, the third panel is fixed. I don't intend to use the bed for tall large items, so this wasn't a major problem. The panel is very lightweight, making both opening and closing super easy for my wife, and during those occasions that I may want to transport larger items - removing the cover in its totality will be easy. The only area that I can't give feedback on yet is waterproofing. However, the supplied fixing strip and drain tubes shows consideration from Gator regarding this. Having ensured that daylight can't be seen during installation - I'm highly confident that this won't be an issue. I'll update you as and when. Very happy with my purchase and recommend considering it during your research for a tonneau cover.

Read many reviews before purchasing a cover for my 2022 F150 Powerboost. This was rated as one of the best as it folds all the way up to allow full bed access. Took me less than an hour to install. Everything lined up perfectly on the first try. Another thing I love about this cover is it can easily be removed with only two thumb screws located in the front. Very sturdy and well built. Can't go wrong for $899!

This is the third Gator Tonneau cover I've purchased over the last several years. The first was a soft roll up and the second was a hard bifold cover. Both were excellent and had zero issues. This cover originally shipped with a bent rail. I called Amazon to see if a replacement part could be sent however the only option was for an entire replacement to be shipped. A few days later the replacement arrived in perfect condition. I watched Gators YouTube installation video before ordering. The installed states if you have the factory Ford bedliner you will have to may have to make an alteration to fit the tonneau cover. What that meant was cut giant chunks out as pictured. Had I known that I would have not ordered for this truck. However, already being an exchange in on a $900 item I wasn't sure of Amazon would return the 2nd one. The installation video was very helpful and even having to cut the bed and installing alone it only tool about 90 minutes. The cover uses plastic stops to lock the cover. I am a little concerned on how long those will last but I'm confident I can build a replacement of it comes to that. Cover looks amazing but sits a little high above the bed near the tailgate. I've heard zero sound driving at highway speed. Overall Id say this is a 4star product ***assuming the plastic bumper stops last***. If you have a factory ford bedliner you may have similar issues with other brands of rolling tonneau covers. The canister can't sit as close to the cab because the bedliner angles in on the edges.

We shopped around for months for a truck bed cover that didn’t have a raised profile. This one has been great. My husband installed it mostly by himself and it’s pretty much waterproof. It is easy to use and open up and did great keeping our stuff dry on a crazy stormy trip up north.

This was so disappointing. I saved up for a while to afford this cover and it doesn't work. I submitted my correct truck and measurements, followed all of the instructions, and even watched the instructional videos, but it simply won't work. The clamps that hold the rails to the inside of the truck bed constantly come loose, therefore making the rails sag, and eventually fall. That results in the entire cover collapsing into the truck. From reading Amazon's return policies, I can't return it because I've had it for over 60 days. But, it wasn't possible to realize that it was a problem until after 60 days. Total trick. If you have problems with this product, you will be bounced around between three companies over the phone: the provider (Amazon), the middleman (Realtruck), and the maker (Gator). If you try to call Realtruck, they'll tell you you have to contact Amazon... But Amazon won't accept returns because it's after 60 days. All in all, it's definitely worth buying something a bit more expensive and higher quality. The headaches, which I still haven't resolved, are simply not worth the low price. As they say, "buy once, cry once..."

Straightforward install, good fit. The finish and fit of the seals that sit on top of the bed seem of low quality. I wonder about the longevity of the rubber hinges. Works well and keeps most of the rain out.
