So far, so good! Definitely not a DIY friendly unit unless you have done a few of these at least, for me its no big deal but i have installed many mini splits. Installation otherwise was pretty normal, no major issues, the lineset is fully copper and so it can be shortened to fit your application, unlike some of the more economically priced units i have come across that have a Co-Al lineset which is an aluminum line with about a half foot of copper on each end for the connections. I was only able to test it briefly on cool mode, its only 46 degrees outside as i write this, so it wouldn't cool very long before the room was freezing cold, but i then tried it on Heat mode and that was super nice, it was blasting hot air out in minutes and brought the room up to the set temp in no time. Overall it seems to perform very well, will have to see how good and efficient it is when the heat gets going this summer, but i suspect it should do as good as my other lower priced mini splits in my home. Its a nice kit, comes with everything you need other then a lineset cover, it does include an escutcheon for the lineset hole but there is no wall sleeve to put the lines through, though i rarely use those and prefer to seal at the outside with spray foam and a lineset cover to make it all nice and neat and tidy. Caulk the lineset cover to the outside wall and its good, haven't had one leak and get water in yet. If you are a novice get some basic tools and you can do this, at a bare minimum you need a vacuum pump, gauge set, micron gauge, Nylog Blue, and maybe an eccentric flaring tool if you need to cut the lines down. All available on Amazon, and even with the combined cost of the unit and all those tools and parts you will still be cheaper then hiring someone to come install a unit, last quote i had for a mini split was just over $2k, i did it myself for $800 and had the tools to do multiple units after it for cheaper. Learn how to do it, not hard, don't pay someone to do a simple job. Tip on install, if you don't want to run power to the outdoor unit, then run the power inside with the lineset, with these 115v units you can just plug it in on the inside. I bought a couple units that had inside power cords on them, this one didn't, but its a simple mod, get some 14/3 line cord like the pigtail they include for the outside power and run it inside with the lineset and just plug it into an outlet. In my case being a brick and concrete structure and a finished basement would have meant running hundreds of feet of line to get power to it, so i just set it up like our others where its powered inside. Still better then a window unit by far! If i have any issues with it i will come back and update this review, my other units have been installed for 8 and 5 years, they were not the same brand but it goes to show what one can do with these inexpensive units and some basic tools on the cheap. Wi-Fi Setup... Since i see a few comments about how it was hard to setup, yeah i had issues at first too because there was nothing in the printed manual i received with the unit, other then a QR code you scan for the instructions. Open that, and it says to Reset WiFi: While the air conditioner is running, press and hold the “COOL” and “+” buttons on the remote for 3 seconds. You will hear 8 beeps, followed by 3 beeps after 2 seconds, indicating a successful reset. You can then reconnect to WiFi. If this doesnt work repeat this step but hold the "Cool" and the "-" Buttons instead. When i did mine i had to use the "-" button. After resetting the temp display changed to AP for access point. Now in the SmartLife or Tuya app, i prefer SmartLife as it integrates all my devices into Google Home, you can connect your phone to the mini splits AP and add it, just follow the steps in SmartLife or scan the fourth QR code in the manual that says to connect your phone to the device, in my case i just hit add device, large home appliance, Air Conditioner Wi-Fi and then followed the steps to connect to the AP from the unit and was done in seconds. It's been very reliable over Wi-Fi and if you add SmartLife to Google Home then you can control it from Google Home instead of the SmartLife app and control it via voice commands with google home speakers etc... I have dozens of SmartLife enabled devices so i'm pretty familiar with the app, it was just how to get the unit into pairing or AP mode that i couldn't find in the manual until i noticed there was a QR code for separate instructions.

So far so good. Easy install but I’m an HVAC technician by trade. This is not for homeowners looking for a quick and easy DIY job. Only took about 1.5 hours to put in. Need professional tools to put it in. Cools really well and dehumidifies even better. Super good price. My wife hates how it looks but she’ll get over it when we’re nice and cool despite 100° temps outside. Works great. Should’ve bought an equipment pad for the outside but it is light enough to pick up and set on one I built later. Feels great to have a room that is cool during the renovation haha. Definitely recommend this unit but just keep in mind that you can’t install it without a vacuum pump and gauges along with other trade tools to make sure it’s done right. Love that I can control it from my phone, though that was tricky to set up.

This is my second install of a mini split. The process went very well. As suggested by another reviewer, I obtained an eccentric flare tool (here on Amazon. Bought the cheapest I could find with good reviews) and replaced the flares on each end of the refrigerant lines. It took me four tries on my first one to get the hang of it, but I ended up with four nice flares. The unit itself works great. Super quiet inside and out. Air from inside unit was 47 degrees F in cool mode and 122 degrees F in heat mode. Outside temp at the time was in the mid 60s F. Remote control and app control are both very good. I especially like the Ifeel function on the remote. All in all, the entire system is packed with features and exceeds my expectations so far.

Excellent unit. I bought it for my guest casita. It arrived promptly, well packed, with everything needed. I had a question about the WIFI function, and to my pleasant surprise, I was on hold for less than a minute before tech support answered. The unit is now installed (I did it myself, no problems), works flawlessly, and is VERY quiet. Just make sure to download "SmartLife-SmartHome" app from Google Play store for the WIFI remote, instead of the QR code in the instructions, as this will not connect properly.
