The flip-out "fifith wheel" propane support is poorly attached. One hinge arrived defunct, and frankly I don't expect the other to last. I'll likely drill holes and bolt it together or maybe some J-B Weld. The heater itself works fine, gets hot, is quiet...and I do like the red. Running in the garage with the door cracked has not resulted in measurable CO. ... show more

It comes assembled. It’s important to remember when lighting this heater to first hold the button down long enough for gas to get thru the line (5 seconds) once the pilot light is lit continue to hold down for another 15 secs at least. This is standard for any type of gas heater. My house was built in ‘58 so it’s drafty plus I have 12 foot ceiling so it’s plenty ventilated. I use it to knock the chill out of an area that’s about 15,000-20,000 sq ft and it does the job in 30 minutes with a ceiling fan set on low spinning backwards. I live in Florida, though, so it’s probably easier to do here. Also, for good measure buy the protection plan, they really are beneficial as I have had to use them on more than one occasion after the warranty expires. Alway, always check the gas lines for leaks with soapy water. Worst case scenario the clicker may not light so keep an arc lighter handy. The wheels come in a locked position so if you’re going to move it around, UNLOCK the wheels FIRST because its rolls really well even over carpet. Common sense dictates if you’re using it outside then the wind can blow out the flame. All things considered I think this is definitely the most bang for your buck. I give it 5 stars. ... show more

The Gasland heater was exactly what I wanted and worked fine for a year. However a few months ago while using it in my garage, it caught fire. Flames were suddenly coming out of the top of it so I was unable to turn the gas off. Fortunately it was by a garage door. I raised the door and shoved it out onto the driveway and then put the fire out with an extinguisher. If this had been near the house wall in my enclosed porch where I normally use it, it would have burned my house down. I contacted the company, left a voicemail explaining what happened. They didn't return my call. Eventually I called and got a real person who showed no level of concern. I offered to sent the unit back so they could investigate but they just gave me an email address and said to include any photos I have. That's been 6 weeks ago and no response. I might have given a rating of 2 but the lack of concern for such a serious problem is astounding. ... show more

This heater when first ignited did give off some smells. Being a new construction it took about 1 hr at high temp to burn off. After that there were no smells. It heated my garage (car and a half size) in as little as 1 hr. Moving the unit to location(s) where i need it the most is very easy. The wheels makes this heater very easy to operate, move and store. I honestly am 100% happy I found this product. Best David ... show more
