I cook on cast iron on this stove nearly every night. I got tired of the grease splatter inside the house. It definitely burns much hotter than my inside stove. I only use the lowest settings to cook chicken thighs, steak, bacon, and eggs. I've been using this for a couple of weeks, and it works great. It's easy to assemble and easy to light. I also bought the cover, which you can see, was a good idea. I also recommend the table from Mountain Summit Gear. Easy to setup, light and portable, high BTU which is what I wanted, but I wish it had a metal plate underneath the burner to catch oil splatters. As this is very light, make sure to anchor it well when it's not in use as a strong wind would send this flying. Otherwise, I love this thing!

I was concerned, when ordering, that this would be wobbly with heavy pots on it. Not so. I use it for canning on my patio, as it’s too hot to can inside, and use it for emergency prep (we have tons of power outages here in the country). Very pleased!
