Bought this for my daughter’s bedroom. Good price for a moveable unit. Perfect little air conditioner that cools her room quickly. Easy to put together, set up and is not horribly loud. It has been in use for a couple weeks and we have zero complaints. Emptying the water in her room was a little tricky. We found putting the unit on a box to raise it a little and then pouring the water into a bowl below works very well. This would be the case with any unit like this. We’ve had zero water leakage and have only emptied it once. Though I’m sure this will vary on the area a purchaser lives in. We definitely recommend this one. ... show more

Pros: definitely the easiest window hose attachment I've run into. It was too tall for my window with both pieces, but I just took one of those cork-boards and cut it to slide inside the main piece and it worked great. The size is also nice, fit a lot better in my room and the draining portion was very easy to just slide a plate under to collect when removing the plug. It is certainly a mighty little thing, it doesn't have "low" and "high" settings so much as "high" and "higher", and was about what I expected of a 8,000BTU unit cooling wise. Being able to control the direction of the airflow with a simple light push of the blinds was also nice. Cons: it's far louder than described; my dB readers were reading the lowest setting at 58/62dB, it was like standing next to an old bathroom vent even though I was 10ft away. In comparison, I have a 10,000BTU unit that's at least twice the width borrowed from a neighbor that at its highest settings only runs at 45/50dB, so for this price I was expecting about the same or less from a smaller unit especially on low. The unit's thermometer was also consistently off by about 5-10°F up, rendering any auto function not useful as my room would be 82°F but it would think it was 74°F, or the closest I got was the room being 76°F and it reading it as 72°F even though the unit hadn't moved at all in the two days I tested it. I would wake up sweating even though it was set to auto which certainly defeats the purpose! These issues would be negligible to me if the unit wasn't so costly, it definitely doesn't feel like something you'd pay $260 for to me and I expected a higher quality runtime over the $150 ones I was looking at. ... show more
