  • Easy install
Color: White
Installation was easy, wireless setup and phone app working great. Cools the area very well. Only thing was instructions did not explain how to change display to farenheit, had to look it up using AI by the model number on the remote.

  • Super Efficient! Great DIY project, just get the right tools and do a lot of research!
Color: White
I bit this hook, line and sinker. My mother in law has her 1 bedroom efficiency heating and cooling all from a single mini split w/ 1 compressor outdoor connected to 2 inside units. Very quiet. Mitsubishi Brand that started the trend over 20 years ago. Now there are 100's of companies that make these mini splits. When mine arrived I was quite impressed with the build quality of the indoor and outdoor unit which is rated at 110volts, 12,000 btu's capable of cooling and heating 750 square feet, with a SEER Efficieny rating of 22 (it doesnt get much better than that) . (The same 220volt was actually less efficient!) BUT!!!! Mine was about $450 after taxes. A after month of battling the install myself, I couldn't get the supplied line sets to hold a vacuum. Then I did more research and watched more videos on U Toob, but still couldn't get lines to hold a vacuum. Then I talked to a local hvac pro that said the following word for word. Cut the flared ends off all of the line sets, use a decent swaging and debur tool, prep w/ a debur tool then silver solder the lines to the indoor unit. Then cut and reflare the outdoor compressor line set connections , debur, and reflare using a decent accentric flare tool, and use flareseal mini split gaskets. I researched what he said and followed his intructions to the letter. You might get lucky and get yours to seal first try, but my reasearch confirmed his advice, and I found factory flared hvac compression fittings are very likely to leak over time if not doone properly. Both lines have to hold up to 600psi. Also.. Get a tubing bender. They are cheap. Line sets are very susceptible to kinking. I kinked mine before I got the bender. Also get a decent line cover kit to protect the lines, not just the cloth tape. It will make the outside setup look very professional and protect the lines. In total I spent about an extra 200 bucks in wire, conduit, electric cutoff box, a couple big pre made concrete 2"x22"x32" tiles, mulch , and gravel to make a nice pad outside, but very well worth it for a diy project. The Staybrite8 silver solder and flux arrives in a couple days, so I'll update this posting and add a couple pics when it's sealed and running. I am past the return date so this extra work better do the trick and hope this lasts many years. I have a buddy that runs his off a couple solar panel/ battery bank system and pays nothing to the electric company for cooling. Also I saw almost the same mini splits that run off grid on 12 volts w/ solar on a camper If this works out I'll probably get rid of my 45 year old central ac, and put a couple more of these in. Way cheaper than what a local hvac contractor would charge. Plus if one fails, it will be super cheap to repair/replace 1 unit. If you are not the diy type, it might be worth to hire a pro and it might save your marriage! lol, but once you get it right, these things pay for themselves quickly in electric bill savings because they are so efficient. A decent 12,000 btu inverter window heat pump is close to $500 and look terrible, in my opinion, but a well installed mini split looks very neat and modern. Yes, there is a brand with pre charged lines for 4 x the cost but, I dont think the pre charged line connections are worth it. For the same money, I can get 3 more of these, one for my bedroom, livingroom/kitchen and back washroom /bedroom and have over 3000square feet of cooling and heating capacity, with the ability to control each room individually when I need to. I dont even heat the bedroom in the winter and dont cool or heat the back bedroom washroom unless we get a guest. At least that is the long term plan. Maybe I'll even get licensed and install these part time after I retire in a few years. I'll update this post when I'm done and add a couple pics.. ... show more

  • Excellent for 900 square foot mobile home!!!!!!
Color: White
I purchased this a few months ago for my mobile home 900 sq ft. He has been working flawlessly. I was concerned about 12,000 BTU not being enough it's perfect for me. It's done a fantastic job keeping my mobile home cool. It's located in the main room which is 25 ft long by 15 ft wide. It does stay cooler in the main room where it's located but the rest of the house still stays cooler. I've had a few cool nights when I first installed this and recently I've had a few cool nights recently and the heating does a wonderful job we'll have to see once it gets really cold. I bought this to supplement my pellet stove in the winter when it's not cold enough to use it. If you have an order and electric furnace I think you can't beat these because they use very little electric. I will update once it gets cold out. ... show more

  • Game Changer
Color: White
10/10 Recommend! We ordered this mini split because our master bedroom was always much warmer than the rest of the house. We were running the central A/C almost around the clock just to keep our bedroom comfortable, while the rest of the house felt like a freezer. This thing has been a game changer! We don't even run the main A/C at night anymore. We had it professionally installed, and the entire installation took about an hour. The unit so far has been great. It's extremely quiet on the lower fan speeds, and even on the higher settings, the sound is gentle....Sounds like a wind breeze. Honestly, it's soothing and helps me sleep well..definitely not loud or distracting. We live in Georgia and it gets hot!!! It has been around 100 degrees all week. Ive had my central AC on 76 instead of 71-72 and off at night. SN: If you close the bedroom door, it will freeze you 😂 ... show more

  • Garvee 12,000 BTU Mini Split Review
Color: White
The unit was delivered with a small amount of cosmetic damage, but overall, installation went fairly smoothly. One issue I encountered was with the wiring harness running from the outside condenser to the indoor air handler. The numbers printed on some of the wires were difficult to read, and a few appeared to be missing. Fortunately, the manual also identifies the wires by color, so I was able to complete the wiring without any major problems. I had previously purchased and installed another brand of mini split (Klimaire), and compared with that unit, the Garvee does feel a little less robust in terms of materials and overall construction. The old saying, "you get what you pay for," applies here. The other unit included more accessories and provided better protection around the outside condenser coil. With the Garvee unit, you do not receive wall-mounting brackets for the outdoor condenser or an exterior electrical disconnect box. The supplied electrical wire is acceptable but somewhat light-duty. The outside condenser fan is molded plastic, the copper refrigerant lines are fairly thin, and the insulation around the lines is also lightweight. That being said, the unit works great, and for the price, I am satisfied with its performance. I would strongly recommend being very careful when bending and positioning the copper refrigerant lines because they can kink easily. Using an anti-kink or bending tool can help prevent accidentally crimping the lines during installation. You can get this on Amazon cheap. It is basically various sizes of plastic tubing that you insert into the refrigerant lines to prevent any kinks. I would also recommend purchasing a proper refrigerant line-set cover rather than using the vinyl wrap material included with the unit. A rigid line-set cover looks much cleaner and gives the installation a much more professional appearance. If you are doing this install yourself you are going to need to have a way to pull a vacuum on the lines to get all of the air out and to make sure your connections are not leaking. I purchased this also from Amazon. The app and software work well once everything is connected, but the Wi-Fi setup can be challenging. Make sure you download the correct app referenced in the manual. The unit does not include a printed manual; instead, you are provided access to the instructions through a link. One important tip for setting up the Wi-Fi: the air conditioner must be turned OFF. With the unit off, press and hold the "+" button and the "COOL" button together for approximately three seconds on the remote. You should hear a series of beeps indicating that the unit has entered Wi-Fi setup mode. I originally tried doing this while the air conditioner was running, and it would not connect. Once I turned the unit off and repeated the procedure, it connected successfully. Also, make sure your Wi-Fi network supports 2.4 GHz, as the unit will not connect directly to a 5 GHz-only network. Overall, this is a budget-friendly mini split that performs well once installed. Some of the components and included accessories could be better quality, but the cooling performance has been excellent so far. For the price, I would still recommend it, especially for someone who understands that a few additional accessories may be needed to achieve a professional-quality installation. The support number worked and they did get back to me in a timely manner. Another small annoyance is that it will display on the air handler unit shows up in Celsius. The app can be either so I found this to be OK in the end. You can turn off the display on the air handler so you don't see it. The app really is pretty good overall and allows for time schedules, Turbo Mode, etc.. ... show more

  • I would definitely buy again
Color: White
This is a excellent mini split. The AC technician who came to hook this up said this unit is very similar to all the other units that he's installed. I told him the price of $407 and he was quite surprised. The unit works great I use it in my bedroom where it's over my bed it's extremely quiet it almost sounds like a small floor fan that you would have on very low speed. I would definitely buy this item again. Another bonus for me is if they are warehoused and shipped out of Ontario, California which is within a couple hundred miles of where I live. 12,000 BTU 21 Sheer Remote and after you download the app you can control the mini split via your phone. ... show more
