I have locs. This helmet fits snug and is my first motorcycle helmet. I also wear glasses. So when it comes to fogging up, it's actually my glasses. That's if I intentionally breathe hard. It comes in a decent sized box and the actual helmet comes in a carry bag. So presentation is great. I tried on a friend's helmet and it was a medium so that's what size I grabbed. It was delivered about 3 days early. Overall I am completely satisfied. It's also blank so I'll be customizing it with vinyl. Price can't be beaten. I wouldn't try anything cheaper. Soon itll be nostalgic when I purchase a bigger name and will hang like a trophy. You could go a size up if you want. I pull the straps to the side to get it on my head. It's not uncomfortable. Haven't had the opportunity to test the safety aspects of it (and I hope I never do), but what I can tell you after a week of use is that I'm loving it! I am a new rider and one of my concerns was how am I going to get used to wearing a helmet? It is simply so foreign to me. The helmet (Large, matte black) turned out to fit snuggly around my head (23 in), the way it's supposed to. The cheek pads were a little tight at first, but a seasoned rider told me not to put too much attention to it, as they will shrink over time. And they have already. So far, very happy with the purchase mainly because instead of dreading it I honestly look forward to wearing it. And that is win for safety! ... show more

    • Excellent, but the vents don't work.

Comfortable, great value, but the vents do not work. They should make the helmet without the vents on the top and front, since they do nothing. The visor takes some practice to remove and install, you have to align it, open the catch, and press hard until it clicks into place.

Very comfortable helmet. Quick release strap is convenient. Noise with the air vents open is pretty average for a full face, a bit loud at higher speeds. Visor is a bit of a pain to take on and off for replacement or cleaning, finger tabs for the release can be difficult to get ahold of. Matte finish will start to degrade after a few months of heavy use but nothing major. A few shiny,smooth areas here and there. Overall the best helmet I've seen in this price range, aside from buying used. Attached photo is after 6 months of use, almost daily, showing the finish beginning to break down a bit. ... show more

The helmet looks good and is easy to open the vents on. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is there is no way to lock the helmet on the bike. There is no loop for that on the helmet. But other than that, I love it.
