This is a great little sideboard cabinet! It was relatively easy to put together and I got it specifically for our hall closet to keep baskets of shoes in and organized. It's a great height for the closet and still allows enough room for a coat rod above it hanging jackets. The glass doors are a nice touch, making it easy to see what's on the shelves inside. There is also a shallow drawer, that is perfect for gloves and hats. It's particle board, but the design is nice and the cabinet is solid. Overall this is a good price point for the quality and usefulness of the cabinet.

Great looking - but with some design drawbacks We’ve now purchased three GarveeHome buffets in light oak style: - This one, 35.4 in with drawer and two doors - The 55 in with four doors under lower storage (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPL4YPBM?ref=fed_asin_title) and the matching 29 in with two doors and lower storage. The sizes and configurations have been exactly what we needed. I’m really happy with the look of this 35.4 in with drawer and two doors but it does have some drawbacks compared to first two: Lighting: I’ve put LED puck lights in all of our Garvee buffets but this one required modification. The reason is – on the inside – the under-side of the drawer is the top under-side of the buffet. If you mounted an LED puck light to the under-side of the drawer – the light’s cord would prevent opening the drawer. I addressed this by installing a stationary piece of wood that spans from left to right and is just beneath the drawer but out of sight. And speaking of the drawer: I expected it to be small and not hold a lot – but the tracks only allow it to be pulled out half-way. It’s annoying – and would be even more so if it’s contents were used more. The backing: It’s not as good as the previous two Garvees we bought because of the way it mounts. There are two panels that slide down through slots and stack and fit to each other with a slotted piece of cheap white plastic molding (see photo). The panels are then held in place by cheap plastic clips. The point is the design does little to add rigidity to the finished buffet, and the cheap plastic – especially those clips – will quickly age and brittle and fall apart. I’ll probably add my own full backing at some point but it is good enough for now. The doors: The cross-pieces are not as well fitted as they could be. It’s only noticeable if you look closely, but still . . . . I would still buy this buffet again but like with so many things like this today some DIY helps make it work and last. One last thing: If you are planning to buy one Garvee now and another matching one later – I’d recommend just getting everything now. I bought our first two in Feb. 2025 and those specific models are already very hard to find in stock.

Overall very pleased with this unit. All pieces fit together perfectly, although had to drill deeper for some small screws. Electric drill and tiny bit worked well. Instructions mostly easy to follow with picture guidance, except part “K” which was the larger magnetized unit for the door to close. The part of that piece that moves in/out faces the outside. The back “J” bracket pieces had no corresponding holes for the screws, but really not needed unless very hard pushing against back. Unit color itself almost same as Amazon photo except has a very slight more yellow cast to it. I am 72 female and put it together myself. You will need help attaching the doors if you don’t have anything to prop them up to align hinges. (I used couple of bricks that were exact height). A good buy and good product and perfect size for the small space.

It works for my Carolina Room as an extra buffet, but I wouldn't put it in my dining room. The draw doesn't line up and the doors don't meet.
