I replaced a 5,000 BTU window ac with this unit. It arrived promptly. Set up was pretty simple. However this unit does not blow vey cold air even at the lowest temp of 62 it does not cool the same space my smaller unit did. It’s currently 71 * outside and dark ran all day long on high at 62 * and the room remains 77^.it’s loud oversized and never stops running. The dimensions where the air flows from is much smaller then picture depicts, it also emits a musty smell throughout my home. Customer service was less them helpful. They instructed me to return the item and they would replace or refund once they received and confirmed the unit was in fact defective. Since your not supposed to tip unit as per warnings on box I destroyed the box during unpacking. I haven’t received my first electric bill to make comments on the cost of running it continuously during our time with multiple hot humid days yet. Junk junk junk. 3days of running it and the electric company txt to say I had doubled my usage on those 3days. Never got cool in my house don’t waste your money. Price has since increased and not worth it!! ... show more

Noise level is not loud hut you can hear it. Controls are great. Airflow is great. Installation is easy. Got it in sale so yes Great value for money that i got 2 for each bedroom. No issues since purchase.

I think 4 stars or 5 stars, not sure which. I think this is a nice unit. I'm a bit spoiled by a Midea I got a few years ago, it is still working perfectly and is very quiet, but I put it in my dad's room so I'm not using it at the moment. This unit gets nice and cold. It produces a lot of water here, so you may end up emptying it a lot. The window setup was really easy and I think it will work well for many sizes of standard windows, and may be easy to rig into non-standard wood windows, not sure. The screw-on attachments are probably a weak point on this product. I connected the window tube first easily, but connecting to the unit took a few minutes and felt a little flimsy. AC/Fans on this unit are loud. Low is loud, high is a bit louder. Didn't bother me much since I kind of like a fan sound, but you're in the 50-60db range I think. Overall seems to be a good unit, works well, and it's hard to get cold air in this price range, so good value. ... show more

We've been using this air conditioner for an entire summer.In a large room, and I have to say it does the job very, very well. It was very easy to set up. It's a little bit heavy, but not too bad. The remote control is awesome.Easy to set up and dehumidification works really well.

This was the cheapest portable AC when I was shopping around. I'm not sure I would make the same choice again, because it makes a super annoying noise every now and then. However, I don't have any other portable ACs to compare it to, and the room it's set up in was poorly insulated / sealed. It's not the best at dehumidifying, but it does keep my "office" cool enough. I am not sure it has the range it claims either, because this is a very small room (maybe 10' x 10'), and only about half of the room stays around the set temp. Still, it's a game changer if it's 90F+ outside. I have had it running non-stop since I got it, and it's still performing. I keep it set around 68F and the room is probably 70 or so. I don't think it can get a room to the set temp, but, again, it's still 1000x better than nothing. The "night" or "sleep" mode it claims to have does nothing different from the standard "low" mode. I should add that I haven't tried the high speed, so that could also more effectively cool the space, but I don't want to over-work the unit nor listen to it blasting. Also, when the sun is shining on the window it's set up in, a TON of heat radiates out of the exhaust tube from the sunlight blasting through it. Not something I expected to happen! haha! ... show more

Best purchase I made this summer. This AC is used in my office over the garage. It takes minutes to cool down the room. I run it on low and still keeps it cool all day. Noise level is more than expected but I'm still able to work and have calls. Very pleased.
