This is for the U shaped one. It's a nice solution for window air conditioners fixing a couple common complaints: it's too loud, it won't fit in the window or is annoying to install, it spills water all over the place. Loudness: the condenser is entirely outside, and with the window closed more (and therefore smaller foam or wood panels to close it off), it is actually more quiet. It seems like there's less risk of rattling, too, since it doesn't rest against the window as much. Install: These are heavier and a little more awkward, but install is much easier. You basically just stick it halfway out the window, and it's balanced enough that it will rest on the windowsill. Use the foam to make sure it doesn't hurt your window. Since the window closes a lot more, if the foam doesn't quite work for you, other options are cheaper and easier (because, well, less space to worry about) Water: Since the condenser is entirely outside, water won't run to the front of the unit and drip into the room. Even if you don't get the balance quite right. As for the actual fit, these work best if the space below the window on BOTH sides is pretty flat. I installed this in an attic window that is too small for normal AC, and it rests against the roof AND drops enough to hit the baseboard heater on the inside. That leaves a small gap where the middle of the U is floating up a bit, so I had to cut some foam to fill in this extra space. It's one downside to it being a less conventional shape, but that's because of my attic windows and not because of the unit (so I'm not taking away a star, I had a feeling from the measurements). There was a funny smell when it came on and lasted for about 10 minutes. All gone now. Instant cooling. I'm using it to supplement central air, because the attic space gets hot instantly after the house AC kicks off, and it's doing a very nice job.

BRRRR.... Works Amazing!! Throws cool air and cooled my place down in no time. My dog is happy as well. Its quiet and easy to figure out. If you dont want it to kick on and off be sure to take it off eco and auto mode. I set mine to Cool and the fan speed to High, Medium or Low instead of Auto. This will make it keep running rather than kick on and off. Prior to buying this I was using a room to room AC which is a royal pain. They take up too much room due to the hose and the hose throws a bunch of hot air which defeats the purpose. With this type of AC I dont have that problem and I can still use the window on days when it's not too hot. If your on the fence about getting this style AC dont hesitate and get yourself one. You wont regret it. I dont typically write reviews but I had to with this. I have to go outside to warm up thats how well it works.

Works great but it has a funky smell. I had to drain the coolant and clean out the filter which was a hassle but this system itself works great. The unit itself isn’t too noisy but isn’t quiet either. There has been no leakage since I’ve gotten it but it’s still a few month old. The unit is heavy so I would recommend having someone help to set it up. I would definitely say this is worth the money as long as you’re willing to put in the work!

I purchased this U-shaped window AC to replace an older noisy box style AC unit. It was easy to install this unit in my window. I was surprised how quiet this AC unit is and how powerful it is. It keeps not only the main room cool during a hot day, but also the other adjoining rooms as well. Best of all, I can enjoy the light coming through my window again. Visitors to my house have commented on its unusual and practical design and are thinking of buying one. I highly recommend this product.

I’ve just installed this AC for the summer. The install: not bad. No additional tools required (for a standard window). Best done with two people as it is hefty. It came with foam blocks to help seal the space around the window, and knobs inside the U to serve as an anchor. However, the customer service does not sell replacement foam blocks and discourage removing during winter, which is unrealistic for cold areas. Performance: after trying various modes, I’ve found Dry mode is where it’s at. Cools very fast and is quiet! Small con: the plug is pretty big and is on the right side of the AC, so take it into consideration. I’ve basically run out of outlet real estate as it takes up the whole outlet 😅 Mine also came with a dent :/

Wish they made these years ago. Absolutely perfect idea. Very easy to install, came with every thing you'd need to do the install too. Settings are easy to understand and adjust, remote worked immediately upon adding batteries. Keeps entire bedroom area a cool 62° without issue, quiet mode is a great addition! Very happy with this purchase! Value for cost is say it's a fantastic deal, and I even got it on sale!

Works good when it worked, and it looked nice in the window. I've had this installed for less than 2 month and all the sudden it is beeping, even when it's turned off, when you turn it on, it fluctuates the numbers 00 to 18 back to the temperature I have it set on, back to 00 and then again to 18. I was told to unplug it for 30 minutes, that seemed to do the trick for the night. The next night it did it all over again. This is only used at night. I was also told to press the timer button twice and then press it and hold it, that didn't work either. Come to find out all these actual numbers means, it's a defective item. Today I was back and forth on the phone with Amazon and Garvee about getting a refund for this, because there is a year manufacturing warranty, the manufacturer refused to help me saying Amazon is responsible, Amazon says they're responsible, what a racket! Amazon did the right thing and I am getting my refund. If anything, y'all need to look elsewhere just because of the zero customer support. Step up and do the right thing, GARVEE, this is your product! Apparently this company doesn't know how to do that. To pay $300 for something that worked less than 2 months Very upsetting

Cools very fast but has a high pitched electrical hum that is just brutal. Ive tried everything but cant get it to stop, making it one of the loudest window units ive ever owned. Nearly impossible to sleep with.
