I'm replacing an older less efficient window ac that had no remote with this unit...big upgrade. Based on the sticker this unit is about 13% more efficient than the 10 year old window unit I'm replacing and during my tests it is much quieter!! It is worth noting that this unit does not meet current window ac energy star requirements which require higher efficiency than this has i believe and you can get a name brand u-shaped window ac that is energy certified for only $50 more than this and has a ceer rating of 15 vs this unit having 11. I still give this 5 stars because on average that extra efficiency is only gonna save around $15-$25 per year so the extra cost of the higher efficiency unit still takes 3 or so years to make up for. Overall its definitely an upgrade over an older unit, especially with the U shape design, remote control and quieter inside portion. Just note that its quite heavy and make sure you measure the window first, my windows are fairly close to the floor at the bottom so it actually was closer than I expected in terms of fitting properly. The unit feels very well made so once its installed properly it feels like it will be very secure in the window, plus the nature of the design seems less likely to want to "fall out" than a standard window ac One I thing I was unclear about was the dehumidifier mode, it seems to work well but I can't tell if you're able to set a humidity level for it to run to like you can with a regular dehumidifier...I didn't see anything in the manual either, will have to keep playing around with it. Overall it seems like a great air conditioner, no issues so far.

These U shaped window AC units are honestly an amazing upgrade from the old style window units. I liked them so much that I replaced four perfectly working old units in my summer cabin with these. They cool way better, are so much quieter, and take up way less room inside. I really love that the window stays almost closed with this design. Having the noisy parts mostly outside makes a huge difference in sound. You can actually sleep or watch TV without that constant loud hum. Installation was pretty straightforward and didn’t feel complicated. The unit feels solid and well made. For a 6000 BTU AC, it cools very well and keeps the room comfortable even on hot days. What really surprised me is my electric bill hasn’t gone up at all. If anything, it’s been a little lower since switching to these. The price is great for the quality you’re getting with this brand. After using these, I don’t think I’d ever go back to the old style window ACs again. If you’re on the fence about U shaped units, they’re absolutely worth it.

This U-shaped window air conditioner has a unique design that lets me keep the window more “closed,” which is a nice feature. It’s the perfect size for my 10x10 room — anything larger, and it might struggle. The filter is typical for this type of unit but very easy to clean. I also appreciate the included remote control, which makes adjustments convenient. This review is for the "Garvee 6000 BTU U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner, Cools Up to 269 Sq.Ft., Ultra Quiet Operation, Energy Efficient, Includes Remote Control, White" which appears to be made of quality materials with good fit and finish. It is priced competitively against other similar offerings on Amazon. As it is winter, yes even here in Florida it gets cold, I just OP tested it without doing a full install. I ran it through its modes via its easy to understand front control panel. There are five - cool, dry, fan, sleep, and energy saver. There is also a remote control included for the lazy among us but also acts as a remote thermostat so one can use the my temp button which uses the remotes temp vice that at the unit.. It has three fan speeds- high, low, and quiet. Another nice feature is the ability to use a timer to turn off or on the unit after a specified number of hours (up to 24hrs). i will update my review if I run into any issues come spring when i complete the full install.

Like many others, I've also received this during winter. As such, testing true cooling performance is quite difficult. I can however say that it fits very well in my window. I've replaced my larger unit with this which I keep in year round. It feels great to be able to see more out of my window. In addition, this allows for less of the window to allow air in through the sides. So the insulation factor has greatly improved. There's a pretty big margin for thick walls, so it will likely fit your window. Comes with all the foam and tools needed to get it installed. I'll update this review in the summer. It would've been nice if this was a heat pump so it could heat as well, but alas.

🔮 Vine find,🕯taxed at filing, 🌘 no spell veils what I say... We haven’t installed this GARVEE 6000 BTU unit yet, Oklahoma’s in single digits right now, and it’s too cold to mess with the window. But we did plug it in to test, and it powered right up with no issues. The remote works, the panel lights up, and everything seems solid so far. It’ll go in our tiny home out back once the weather warms up, and based on size and shape, it’s going to be a perfect fit. I really like the U‑shaped design, it'll let in more light than a standard blocky unit, which matters in a small space. The control panel looks intuitive, and the modes seem straightforward: cool, dry, fan, sleep, and energy saver. We’ll update once it’s installed and running full-time, but first impressions are good. Just wish the listing hadn’t gone down, it made it harder to double-check specs. For now, it’s tested, quiet, and ready to go when the cold lets up.
