The Sea Hunter Mark II is very versatile, offering four stem arrangements to suit your search needs: the long stem with top stem mount, under cuff stem mount, hip mount and the short stem ScubaMate. why does description read ( battery's required ,"no" ) but yet it does indeed take battery's this unit does not have a port to recharge and DOES require 8 AA battery's that it does come with that will need to be replaced about 20 hours latter, just a little confusing that's all :)

    • Two thumbs to Garrett for replacing defective mounting brackets
Sea Hunter Mk II arrived but mounting brackets had manufacturing defect. Could not get tabs close enough to allow screwing on nylon bolt (yes the R & L sides were correct as was the taper match, brackets to head unit). Talked to Garrett and sent photos. They quickly sent new brackets which did work and allowed mounting of the head unit to the shaft. Two thumbs to Garrett. Haven't tried it yet but will soon ... show more

    • Rugged and simple
Took the Sea Hunter Mk2 out for its maiden voyage last night during low tide. The salt water and black sand were a non-issue. This was my first time with a pulse induction but it ran super smooth. Pulled a lot of bobby-pins but also two rings and a silver chain. So far I’m very pleased with the purchase. Only issue I can think of so far is that the shaft is quite wobbly. I’ll probably upgrade later on to an aftermarket shaft. ... show more

    • Box showed up with the larger search coil missing.
I paid extra to get two search coils. I opened the box, and only 1 search coil was there. The 10 x 14 search coil wasn't included!

As always it’s a Garrett detector I don’t need to say anymore. I also purchased a rechargeable battery pack and charger you can’t wear out the battery’s in a day just as described and If I do just plug it into my charger in my truck.

    • What's not to like?
I used it in salt water for the first time today. OUTSTANDING! I found three earrings, a mans ring and a few modern coins. It goes deep, is very sensitive and has a neutral buoyancy.
