Purchased for a friend who wanted to get into detecting. Very well made and surprising for the price point. Extremely user friendly and not confusing. I have the AT Pro and the ACE 200 targeted everything I targeted. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of higher end detectors but is an excellent detector to learn on and get the feel of it.     • It is a great starter and simple, but!!!
Just bought the nokta legend and honestly the Garrett 200 is better and easier for out of the box go. As the new multi frequency are very tricky and the big coils suck for discrimination as the ace 200 comes with the perfect size. But after I get a 6inch coil for the legend I feel it will be a lot better, but that's another 100$ so money money money... But the biggest thing is the simplex+ 300$ish and legend 500$ish are both fully submersible up to 10 feet. And once you get used to the setting I hear it's a lot better. ... show more

For a bottom of the line metal detector, it works great. I did buy a cheap pair of headphones with volume control because the beeps and pings are very loud with no volume control on this metal detector. I, also, bought rechargeable batteries. Highly recommend for a beginner. Thanks!

Got this for my 12 year old son for Christmas and it has been a blast. Super easy to use and set up. This has a decent discrimination to help weed out all of the nonferrous metals. This is the bottom end of the Garret line but is probably far superior over the noname brands out there. But with confidence. Happy hunting. ... show more

Works great for locating property boundaries that are 5/8” rebar driven into the ground. Had a little trouble finding them at first but decided to read the instructions, go figure. Reasonable price and easy to use.
