I got this as a gift for a kiddo some months from now, and am eagerly awaiting that future date, and to see his reaction. Since it needs to be partially assembled ... I know I cannot open it up now and then still get it all back into the box again to give as a gift, so I deducted one star --- not anything against the product, but because I haven't yet been able to witness firsthand how it works, and how it is received. I expect there will likely be a dinosaur chasing a little brother and sister and family pet around the living room -- because that's kind of what a little boy with a remote control in their hands will do --- until of course the "proper behavior" for dinosaurs in the living room is explained. This Dino set represents an excellent value. What I Liked: - 1 large, RC Velociraptor - 3 baby Velociraptors - 1 screwdriver for battery doors - Sounds are fun and a little loud - Blue light from large Dino worked perfectly - Large Velociraptor moves well on surfaces without carpet What I Didn’t Like: - 2 AAA batteries for remote and 4 AAA for large Velociraptor can take a while to install due to battery doors requiring screw removal. Not a big deal, just don’t like battery doors that require screwdrivers, however manufacturer was thoughtful to include a small screwdriver. - Caught my finger on sharp plastic edge. Neutral: - Minor assembly required. You’ll have to snap the two front legs and tail onto the large Velociraptor. Entertaining and educational set is perfect for the dinosaur lover in your family! ... show more

My son loves this which I hope it lasts as he is a bit rough on his toys. The toy requires a number of batteries which is a bit of a drag as I wish the toy had rechargeable batteries for the dinosaur and the remote. Today's toys just use way too many batteries and are so fun to install with the small screws like this one has. It makes a lot of noise which kids just love. ... show more

Video is misleading! This is more cheap junk from china. Only walks in demo mode. Remote only makes noise. And "sounds like a choo-choo train when its walking" per my son. Dont buy!

This set includes 3 small dinosaurs, 1 big mechanical dinosaur, with several scenic palm trees and remote controller. It is a great toy set for my grandson. The mechanical dino needed a little adult help with its assembly, but once ready, thrilled us all by walking and making six various dino roar sounds. with LED lights in his throat! Be sure you have several AAA batteries ready, since they are not included. The infrared remote uses 2 and the dino uses 4...
