I could not review "Easy to Use" only because I am over 80 and NOTHING is easy for me. However I had occasion to call Garmin at least three times, and their customer service couldn't have been nicer. Each rep patiently walked me through my problem step by step. Once there was a problem that had nothing to do with me, and again, the walked me through resolving it. I am at the point now where I actually know how to understand the GPS. I had purchased a refurbished Garmin6 at a very good price, and you would never know it is refurbished. Worked great for about 2 months, then it wouldn't turn on. I had to pay shipping to return it, and the cheapest option at the post office was $11.

This is a refurb unit, but the quality appears to be absolutely brand new (perhaps it was a LMT unit in its past life rather than its present LM). But in any case, the unit performs as it should. The software is very similar to my nearly 8 year old Garmin, so that it was very quick to come up to speed. Software update are easy to do on my Windows PC. The price was so good that it was an easy decision to buy. There are a couple of things that are annoying with the unit. First, I find that the unit protests when you try to charge with a non Garmin USB cable and 12V charger. The unit senses a data cable and goes into communications update mode. UGH!!!!! This is not necessary. A simple on screen confirmation button should be used. Why do I say that this is annoying? Well, the place I mounted this Garmin in my car is about 8 inches away from the 12V socket. I don't need 3-4 feet of cable. The same happens inside running off of a 120V charger. Double UGH!!! (Yes I tried different communications/charge USB cables and different 12V chargers.) Next annoyance is the LCD polarization. Hasn't anybody at Garmin tried looking at the GSP's screen with polarized sunglasses? This GPS normally operates in a horizontal mode. So why polarize the LCD in the diagonal? By the way, my 8 year old Garmin does the same thing. I haven't been in every new car with a build in display, but I haven't notice a similar problem. The deal (price) was so good that I couldn't give this unit less than 4 stars. ... show more

I received this right before my trip for work so I decided to try it instead of using one I borrowed from a friend. Overall it worked great, I had a few wrong directions due to I haven't hooked it up to my computer to download the lifetime maps, so I ran into one spot where there was a new road and the GPS did not know it was there. Only other thing is that it has no battery life but I'm not worried about that to much as I will always be using it in the car plugged in. I appreciate the large screen, as it is a replacement for my previous oldest unit that was slowing after 10 years of faithful service. Also like the search improvements which is much better. Just plugged it in and good to navigate.

The GPS arrived without a cable and instructions. I had to contact Garman and they sent me the missing stuff right away and talked me through uploading the new maps. The folks at Garmin saved the day, but I would hesitate to use the same seller

They got me on this one....admittedly its been almost 110 days since I purchased this GPS...."renewed" It was used once on a trip to Virginia right after it was purchased. It was used again this last week for that same trip and conked out almost living the wife stranded.....I requested a refund, because the renewed unit didn't work and was denied because it was past the 90 day guarantee....Would seem easy enough to send me another "renewed" one as this one didn't get fixed....then fix this one again....Nuff, said, won't buy from the seller or a renewed unit again....not worth it to me ... show more

The GBS arrived earlier than originally estimated, and in mint condition. I would never know this was refurbished. The unit is very accurate when alerting for pending turns and speed zone changes. Excellent - perfect. Saved so much by going this route.
