The media could not be loaded. This fire tube exceeded my expectations. Setup was quick and easy. I picked up pellets and a fire starter from Tractor Supply at a great price. It takes a little time for the fire to get going, but once the pellets ignite fully, the flame reaches the top of the glass tube — and it looks fantastic. Burn time is impressive, and residue from the pellets is minimal. There is no smoke during operation and no mess afterward. The flame is truly beautiful, making this the perfect smokeless fire pit for outdoor use. Just note that this fire tube isn’t designed for heating, although it does radiate some warmth near the tube and burn chamber. Overall, a fantastic addition to any porch. Highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. We got this for enjoying on our front deck at the ocean. It is so much fun, even in the winter, to have it lit in the evenings. It is well made and easy to fill and light. The flame is lasting about 90 minutes and you have to be very close to feel any warmth...it's not a heater. The brush to clean the tube is stiff and does not work very well by itself. There was just a small amount of residue in the tube after burning it a couple times. We will try it with soap and water and see if putting a rag around the brush might clean better. It is delightful and fun! UPDATE We first used some food grade pellets we had on hand even though some reviews said the food grade pellets would leave a waxy residue. Burned great as in video. Then we bought regular pellets and the flame only went half way up the tube. It didn't burn well at all...very wimpy flame. We will try mixing the two types of pellets and see if we get a better result. We live on the Pacific coast and things rust quickly in the salt air. We will store it in a protected place when not in use and will see how long it lasts with the powder coated stainless steel.

This is a great looking product and is a great addition for ambiance. Must admit I am somewhat disappointed in the amount of heat that it produces to the side. So not great to sit around for heat. Lots of heat comes out of the top so if you have it in a closed roof area with a high roof, I think it would work well to heat the area. Which is had a chimney top to deflect the heat from the top to the side. Regardless of heat, it is very cool looking and adds a great visual appeal to the area.
