Great for big plastic tubs,boxes, tool boxes etc..... Just moved to a new house and had to organize storage in my garage . The shelving made a huge difference. The wood is nice and durable. It does not feel cheap. The steel seems flimsy but once it's put together it's suprisingly tough. I have a lawnmower and tool boxes on the shelf. It holds the weight no problem. What do I like? Well, the colour for one - the pieces are a beautiful blue and a welcome change from the usual BORING grey or black. Once it’s assembled it’s sturdy, though I do advise fastening the assembled unit to a wall. That’s not a fault of the unit, it’s just good safety protocol for ANY free standing shelving - don’t let it be free! What don’t I like? Well, the tab and slot fastening method is just not something I prefer - it’s usually fiddly to accomplish. The tabs almost always need to be bent a bit to make sure they can easily (or semi-easily!) slide into the slots. I MUCH prefer nuts and bolts. It would raise the cost a bit, but IMO would be well worth it in terms of assembly time and reduced frustration. I assembled this by myself. The assembly manual recommends having another person assist and that would make it easier and probably faster, but still, it’s possible to accomplish on your own. If I can’t find a similar unit with nuts & bolts fasteners I may order another for my back yard shed. ... show more

First of all these shelves are super sturdy. They assembled easily with just one person, and they are strong enough to hold quite a bit of stuff. The blue color makes them more fun in a room where they'll be seen. I had one small issue with a part, and the Customer Service Department went above and beyond to resolve the situation! Living in a one bedroom apt, one does not have room for storage. I am stocking up supples for winter and shortages. This is in my bedroom and luckily the blue matches the blue in there. I am satisfied with this unit. I have room for another unit if I need it.

If you are looking for cheap with a little bit of even cheaper sprinkled on top, then this is the right product for you. Warning, you may need to add another hour into your expected assembly time as the parts that are used to erect this shelving does not fit very well and will need to be bent or manipulated to fit correctly. This is probably because it is made from metal that has a little more strength to it than aluminum foil. The box it came in was basically disintegrating upon delivery and the shelves are fall-a-particle board. If this is able to withstand 400 lbs of weight on it than I am able to bench press 4000 lbs.     • Easy to assemble, surprisingly sturdy.

Really easy to put together, they appear very sturdy. I have some doubts regarding their lateral integrity (could I collapse them by pushing sideways?) but their vertical strength seem very good - well engineered in that respect.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Engineering was done very well. This will work well in a pantry. Or a closet. It's meant to be free standing. They need to include a kit to anchor it to a wall.
