DO NOT BUY IF YOU LIVE IBN COLD WEATHER. IT FREEZES!!! I put it on my mother's garage too and we were stuck outside in 25 degree weather because the keypad was frozen!

Put this Universal in about a week ago to replace a Liftmaster keypad unit that stopped working after 9 years. If you know the unit you need (Liftmaster in my case), I very strongly recommend buying the exact replacement, not this one. It works fine with our two garage doors, but here are a few drawbacks. The Learn button on the wall button inside the garage didn't work with this unit, so you will need to get the ladder out and drop the light cover on the actual opener(s) to get at it. The keypad doesn't have letters! So if your code is a 4 letter word (like "home") you will need to pick four numbers and let the family know. Yes, you can program multiple doors if you have them. With the old unit you could press ENTER and all the open doors would close. Not with this one. You have to enter the code for each door to close it. Yes, the mounting holes line up with the old one. Yes, it came with a 9 Volt battery.
