  • Competitive Controller With Amazing Response Time
This controller feels incredible for competitive gaming. The sticks are super responsive, input delay feels almost nonexistent, and the overall build quality is excellent. The Aimlabs edition design looks really clean and stands out compared to standard controllers. The buttons feel crisp, the back buttons are useful without getting in the way, and the controller is comfortable even during long gaming sessions. Setup was easy on PC, and performance has been flawless so far. If you’re serious about FPS games or want a premium controller experience, this is definitely worth it. ... show more

  • Massive Improvement Over Standard G7 Pro Massive Improvement Over Standard G7 Pro
The first thing I noticed with the GameSir G7 Pro 8K is the completely revamped D-pad, and it’s a major improvement over the standard GameSir G7 Pro. On the original model, the D-pad felt mushy, loose, and had significant input bleed, which made precise directional inputs frustrating—especially in games that require speed and accuracy. Calling in stratagems in Helldivers 2 was particularly inconsistent at times. On the 8K version, the D-pad feels much tighter and more controlled, and the included alternate D-pad options help reduce accidental inputs even further. You can also lock out diagonal inputs in software, which minimizes any remaining input bleed. It still doesn’t fully pass the classic “Contra test” for precision purists, but it’s a dramatic improvement and far more usable in real gameplay. The second standout upgrade is the gyro implementation, which feels night and day compared to the standard G7 Pro. When mapped as mouse input, gyro aiming is noticeably smoother, faster, and more responsive. On the older G7 Pro, mouse gyro was usable but inconsistent enough that I often reverted to right stick output. Here, it feels much closer to something you’d actually want to use long term on PC. Despite the 8K branding, I personally kept the polling rate set to 1K—the higher rate wasn’t my main reason for upgrading. It was the overall refinements and improvements that made the difference. Compared to the Champion Edition, I actually prefer the Aim Labs edition overall. The black and gold aesthetic on the Champion Edition looks great out of the box and feels more premium at first, but the grips are a weak point. After about two weeks of use, I started noticing visible wear and staining on the rubber coating—even with clean hands before every session. That soft-touch finish feels nice initially, but it wears down quickly and becomes shiny over time. The Aim Labs edition avoids this by using a textured plastic grip instead, which feels more durable and consistent long term. The Champion Edition feels more luxurious at first touch, but it doesn’t hold up as well with regular use. The GameSir app is also solid overall and adds meaningful customization, though I was a bit disappointed that only the R/L/4/5 buttons can be assigned as shift-layer or macro triggers. If you dedicate one as a shift key, you can get up to six macro inputs, but in practice L4 and R4 are usually better used for core gameplay actions. That leaves most setups with around four practical macro buttons. I mapped mine to stratagems in HellDivers 2, and they worked very well. You can also copy profiles between controllers, which made it easy to transfer my setup from the Champion Edition to the Aim Labs version. Overall, by dropping Xbox licensing constraints, this feels like a much less compromised, PC-focused controller. It’s clear GameSir used that freedom to improve features that matter more to PC players rather than sticking to console-first limitations. ... show more

  • A True Premium Controller that knows Latency is essential to compatibility. A True Premium Controller that knows Latency is essential to compatibility.
I will say I really liked the 8BitDo Pro 3 at first, but I sort of realized as time went on that the Bluetooth and 2.4GHZ were bothering me in Shmup Games, Fighting Games,Racing Games and Action Games. Something I did further research on is how important Polling Rate and Latency are when it comes to these aspects. I then decided that these were my new baselines for a premium controller. 1. Low Latency on Bluetooth & 2.4GHZ which is essentially anything below 10MS, preferably 2MS-5MS and below as possible for Stick & Button Latency. 2. SteamInput support for the Extra Buttons, not just on Bluetooth but on 2.4GHZ standard. As Pro 3 could do it on Bluetooth but not on 2.4GHZ which was a major blow to me when I realized 2.4GHZ is better on Latency. 3. A High Polling Rate somewhere near 8k to 10k, which 8BitDo Pro 3 had 250HZ. 4. A premium feel on the grip of the controller that has rubber and is not plastic and has some sense of colorful style. Which is why I like 8BitDo. Here comes the Gamesir G7 Pro 8K that satisfies every metric with only very minimal issues, the grip is amazingly great, I like the Turquoise Transparent Color and I really feel like this is an Aesthetic missing in a majority of controllers that is timeless. The only thing I did not know before hand is in order to see the Extended Buttons on 2.4GHZ you need to hold the Home Button + A, which you will then see the controller switch to Gamesir G7 Pro 8k on Steam, the home button will have a Yellow Color surrounding it for a moment to let you know it is in that mode, and Steam will then be able to see it and utilize the extra buttons. This should be standard on all controllers as I feel like when I do it the regular way on other controllers and decide to put the screenshot button on the extended controllers, for some reason Microsoft Gameshare hijack my extended controllers when I take screenshots and does it on it's own alongside Steam. But with this it does not. I did a few small tests. 1. DoDonPachi Ressurrection ran extremely well on 2.4GHZ on Steam very minimal issues with moving around and dodging bullets 2. Espagaluda II passed with flying colors on Bluetooth Mode on Switch 3. Mario Kart 8 passed amazingly well on Bluetooth Mode with very extremely minimal latency with Drifting, as Drifting on small curves is extremely reliant on latency if you can turn, keep the gas pedal moving. I was able to do this better than my Switch Pro controller and turn on an instant and build enough to boost myself back into the lead online. 4. Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves. I was able to pull off moves basically instantly on 2.4GHZ and Bluetooth remains close in latency. I can only imagine what a Pro Player with this controller could do in tournaments. 5. Emulator support I can say it does extremely well even on games that are usually precision heavy and need low latency heavy like Arcade like games are really well done and perform smoothly. There is minimal cons in this review. -The L5 & R5, including the control sticks while great, I do think could be made of better material, it feels a little bit too plastic at times sort of like if i dropped this controller it might snap off. I can only think this was to keep the pricing low to keep everything packed in features wise. But I would like to see this improved. It's not a deal breaker really, it's worth the money obviously. But I would like to see an improvement on this if it's possible. -I would like to see more improvement if that is even possible on Bluetooth as it's very good and near the 2.4GHZ it's playable for Action Games and high end it's better than 99% of Controllers out there, but I hope there can be new ways to get it to near 2MS-5MS to evolve the standard even further. Maybe Bluetooth 6.0 standard will push us to it, or custom Bluetooth configurations can get us there. But I do hope there is some way to improve Latency and Responsiveness to push the bar higher. There is a few suggestions I would have for the next generation of controllers -Although I like the controller and Cyan transparent is my favorite color scheme and a nod to the 00's era of controllers, I do feel like there could have been more colors like Red, or Purple, Turquoise that is the same type. -This color scheme and features should not be on Special Editions but on the next generation of controllers. -Keeping this controller the same but having a Valve approved version for Steam Controller would be great. -Having the Cyan thumbsticks as an extra instead of just black thumbstick replacements in a bag. I will end off by saying that this is an excellent controller, and I am glad I decided to buy this over the Steam Controller as Steam Controller lacks the Polling Rate which is I think the same as the Pro 3 at 250HZ and is not transparent about the Bluetooth Latency. To a lot of people this will not matter as much because Pro 3, or Steam Controller will be great for common setups, but for a lot of people who like Action, Timing, Latency heavy style games like Racing, Shmups, Fighting Games, Action games like DMC or Bayonetta etc. The Pro 3 8BitDo is downgraded to being my Retro Controller for Video Games like SNES,N64, Gamecube and Gamesir G7 Pro 8K is now my daily controller for the foreseeable future unless things and I will give an update if anything does. I will end off by saying it's in a league of it's own, where most controllers should be at the baseline for the next generation and a new benchmark to reach for me if i wish to buy a new controller in a year or two from now. ... show more

  • Spectacular response time and mouse-like trigger clicks
Spectacular controller for a great price. I switched from an Xbox Elite 2 and this controller destroys it. 8000hz poll rate and lightning trigger clicks. great software. my k/d in BF6 immediately jumped up. I am experimenting with gyro aim to complement right stick aiming. I've been gaming since Atari, and this is one of the top controllers I've owned. As far as performance, it's the best. The only thing I didn't love is the gold dpads, so I ordered a metallic turquoise spraypaint for $10 and painted all 3. It looks perfect now! ... show more

  • Amazing controller
So far this is the best controller I have ever owned. Plugged it directly into my PC and it registered as an Xbox controller immediately. The grips feel nice. The joysticks don't wobble around. The docking station has a pass-through so the dongle can be hidden inside the charging base for a clean look. Some of the settings for high performance response have to be enabled in the software and was not complicated. I will most likely buy another one sometime soon. The performance I get for this price gives me a reason to not buy the high-end Xbox controllers. ... show more

Everything is really well laid out and intuitive to use. Literally the best controller all around I have ever used. • Out-of-the-box simple
I didn't need to do any mapping or configuration to have the controller run perfectly on the Xbox app on the PC. Playing Forza Horizon 6. The sticks are perfectly precise and responsive. The triggers are fantastic. I can't tell any difference in performance whether running wired or wireless. I've only had the controller like 10 days, but out-of-the box, it's a top shelf controller. I've been buying PC controllers since the 90s and it takes a lot to impress me. Ease of use leads the pack. ... show more
