Man I cannot express how relieved and satisfied I am with this power supply atm. After enduring countless frustrating crashes and black screens while trying to run 3D applications and programs on my PC, I was at my wit's end. I wasn't sure what exactly was crashing it as there were no specific entries in the Event Viewer and from having an AMD RX 570, I had even gone as far as purchasing an RTX 3060 Ti, thinking it would resolve the issue, but to no avail. HOWEVER all my problems vanished into thin air once I removed my THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER 750W power supply & installed the Gamemax 850W. I was initially struggling with cable management from the previous power supply (my current PC was traded for a gaming laptop I owned actually), but the installation process was a breeze. It fit perfectly into my PC case, and the cables were well-designed and easy to manage. Within minutes, I had the power supply up and running. As I booted up my system, I crossed my fingers, hoping for a miracle – and that's exactly what I got! I basically evened out a steal of a trade since I gave someone an ASUS ROG gaming laptop with i7-4710HQ and a GTX 980m (wouldnt go for more than $300 now) for a PC rig that has a Ryzen 5 3600XT, 16GB RAM, AMD RX 570 Red Devil, hella RGB lights and it all came with a broken 750w power supply that the guy may not have known enough about, because for the value traded, he might as well have scrapped the entire potential of the rig but I got lucky on fb marketplace. Once I put in this Gamemax, it really shined with the 3060 Ti. Maxed out the percentages on UserBenchmark. Gone were the days of crashes and black screens. It was like my PC got a new lease on life. It's been a month so far, but the stability and reliability of the Gamemax PSU were immediately evident. I could finally enjoy smooth and uninterrupted gaming, something I had been longing for so long. Months of troubleshooting just to figure out it was the PSU. The power supply's efficiency and performance are much more accurate on the 12v and 5v rails as well, I know that checking voltages in BIOS without a multimeter is not usually an ideal way to measure, but the Thermaltake was showing 9.3v on the 12v rail, the 5v rail was showing 4.4 most times. With this power supply, it is a solid 11.8 to 12. The 5v stays at 5v. It provides a stable power flow to all my components, ensuring they receive the right amount of power they need without any fluctuations. The result? No more GPU-related crashes or black screens during intensive tasks. My RTX 3060 Ti now works flawlessly, showing off its true potential without any hiccups.

Being at the time not as well heard of PSU company I was nervous, But the price to performance was unmatched. I purchased the 1050w and have now ran it for 2 years with no issues, No coil wine, No faulty power supply symptoms. Its been through two GPU upgrades from 3080ti to 4080 super and still just working as it should. Can’t speak on the rgb if it is still working as it should, I have never messed with it plus rgb in a power supply in my opinion seems unnecessary but to each their own. I believe now I have purchased 4 or 5 of these PSUs and have them in friends and families PCs, Not running as long has mine has but still no issues in their system. I would highly recommend this power supply.

So unfortunately my tests weren't as thorough is I wanted. I could not find my wall meter or temp gun. I tried to make this as technical as I could anyway. System: Asus x99-Pro/USB3.1, Xeon e5-1630v4, 8x 4gb DDR4 2666mhz, XfX RX580 GTS Black, Samsung m.2, and some generic cooler since I usually run a AIO. First off, there had to be some changes to the test bench but I ran the unit on various stress tests to include Aida64, TimeSpy, and the Furry donut. After hours, the system continued to run with no issues. And I was still able to handle PSU since the unit never got warm at all. However, this is where not having my wall meter creates a disadvantage. I wanted to use a power hungry system to push this unit, but I went overboard at first. I originally had a Vega 64 on the bench, but the system would not boot completely. I am not faulting the product for this since the original setup would come in at around 600w and that is the limit of the unit. If anything, the system not booting could be a good example of the PSU's fault protection. But without knowing how much power the system was pulling exactly, this is debatable. Everything else I was pretty impressed with. The fan does spin according to load, so it helps keep things quite when not being used heavily. The eco-mode button does work and isnt a useless gimmick. When system was idle, and in eco mode, the unit would cool off and become silent. Build quality seems to be on par with more "prestigious" brands, minus the thin bars used as a grid to protect the fan. They will bend with moderate pressure, and since its a RGB model its clearly designed to be installed fan up. So dont drop anything on them while building. Other than that, the house is incredibly sturdy. The wires used seem more than capable to handle the loads, and aren't to stiff to work with. They could be better, but I'll get into that later. One stand out here is the ease in which the plugs fit into place. Each one went into their sockets smoothly without having to apply so much force you worry about breaking the motherboard. Yet they stay in place snugly and take just as much effort to unplug as they do to plug in. I'm actually understating how much I loved this. The fitment is amazing. The plugs also lead into my complaints though. The wires are colored. Or "ketchup and mustard" wires as more known reviewers call them. Not only are the wires colored, the plugs are too. So to use this in a build, you now have to factor a red CPU plug and neon green plug into your color scheme. And at coming in at around 19 inches long, these cables are relatively short. Using the unit in a larger case would mean that they probably won't reach if traditionally cabled managed. Especially the CPU cable. But these semi-modular/modular units are usually more suitable for smaller builds. So its definitely something to note. At first I was pretty unfazed with this downside. My original thought was that it would be great news for sleeved cable extensions. With less length getting in the way. It would even fix the red and neon green plugs. But when you factor in that these extensions are an additional $25-30, its definitely something to ponder over. All in all, I'm happy with the unit at this price. Especially since it IS semi-modular and RGB. Right now I give it 4 stars. If they were to use black plugs and wires, I'd give it 5 stars all day long. Though this is dependent on what happens when I find my wall meter. I'll update once I do. *Update - found my wall meter and all is right the PSU. The system was pulling way to much on boot and the PSU was safely preventing itself.
