I got this to heat a small 150 sqft space, this does a great job at not only taking the chill off the room, but honestly it can get pretty warm after this thing has been on for a while. It's quieter and smaller than the Amazon Basics heater I bought for our master bedroom. But I think the quality of the Amazon Basics heater is a little more sturdy and reliable. Not sure I'd trust this to be on when I'm sleeping. As I don't know if it's thermal cutoff is very trustworthy, but pairing this with a smart switch I'm able to turn it on when the room is below a certain threshold and turn it off again when it's reached an ideal temp. ... show more

This will work great on my desk because of its small size. The heat output is great but it does not have any options for a high and low level of heat. The fan is a bit noisy so in a quiet environment it may not be the best choice. The housing of the heater is completely plastic and on first use it does give off some plasticky smells but hopefully as I use it more this winter these smells will go away and not come back. The listed price at the time of this review was 16.99 which seems fair, but I would have liked to see a high and low option even if it does not have a thermostat. ... show more

This is a great little ceramic heater, and appears to be well made. It has some welcome safety features, including overheating cut off and tip over protection. I'd say this would be perfect for on the desk if you need extra warmth for your hands, or on the floor to keep your toes extra toasty. It's not overly expensive to run. Depending on your area it could be less than 50 Cents a day running for 8 hours. Over a month of daily use this could add another $15 to the electricity bill, which might be offset if the main heating can be turned down while this is running. ... show more

First, I tested it by plugging it into my Ecoflow power station to measure the power draw. It spiked to near 500 watts on start up, then settled down to just a hair over 400 watts. The small fan blows hot air a short distance from the heater, so unless you leave it running for quite a while it's more of a personal heater when sitting in front of it than a space heater. The media could not be loaded. I picked this up because my desk space gets cold in odd places in the winter and this is a really small profile heater, so I thought it'd work great as an "as-needed" heater for my hands or at my desk this winter. Ohhhhh deer did I get more than I bargained for haha This thing is really good at making a TON of heat. Definitely hot enough that it's going to burn my skin or anything set too close to the front of it, but feels really, really nice at the recommended distance. This is more effective than a lot of those cheap $20 units I've gotten in the past that were twice or more the size! This will be sooooooo nice this winter! The tip sensor is /really/ good. If it's not almost 100% flat on the correct base down, it shuts right off. It gets knocked over, sideways, backwards, forwards, upside down, it's off! Really impressed with how well that tip sensor works - especially since it hasn't tripped when sitting flat as intended. The sensor is a peg on the bottom (pictured). Be mindful it's not sticky or such before use since it's external, but as the video shows it works great out of the box. It has one button to power it on. Takes a bit more pressure to press it that I expect still but it's simple and works. Notably means it's off or on and doesn't have a temp slider or sensor, so one should expect to manually manage it's activity since it won't turn off "at room temp" like ones with sensors. At least this hasn't in my experience. Again it blows HOT air so I feel it's important to make sure it's monitored and used in bursts. After running for a few mins the sides are cool as is the back. The only part hot to the touch is the frontal grill, but it also cools very quickly. I can store this away (unplugged of course) within a couple minutes of turning it off pretty reliably. It's really small profile, barely 5" square and almost half that deep, so it's easy to make room for it on my desk so it's out of the way when not in use. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this, but right now I'm really, really happy with this and can comfortably recommend this to anyone! For the price especially! ... show more

This Gaiatop PTC ceramic heater works well as a supplementary heat source for my bathroom. My observations are as follows; 1. Great price. At only $16.99 it is priced well vs. similar products. 2. Size. At 5" wide, 5" high and less than 3" deep it doesn't take up much space. 3. Rubber feet on the bottom prevent it from sliding off the back of my toilet or other hard surface. 4. My bathroom is approximately 6' wide, 12' long and 9' high. With the door closed this heater provides sufficient heat and comfortable temperature. 5. Heats quickly and quietly. 6. Tip over protection works as advertised. 7. This heater is solid, feels well built and of high quality. 8. PTC ceramic heaters are advertised as more energy-efficient compared with other types of heaters. Overall I really like this heater and highly recommend it. ... show more

I have what I believe is either a hint of carpal tunnel syndrome or simply the onset of it. Thankfully, it has not progressed over the years. As I spend hours behind my keyboard and mouse, I feel as though my right hand begins to become numb. It's a cold feeling that having a desktop heater nearby eliminates. Having just landed a work-at-home job that required an additional workspace, I knew that I would need an additional heater. And this one gets the job done. Because of its size, it won't replace a space heater for those whose office needs one. But it is more than sufficient to keep your upper body nice and cozy when placed on a desktop.
