One band came ripped. Others were fine and do alright. Just not exactly what I wanted

  • Bands stick together after only a few uses....
I loved the texture and the colors of the bands, the quality seemed good and I was delighted when I received them; however, after using the bands only about 5 times, they began to become sticky, they fold up, twist and the sides stick together. They would be great, if they did not get sticky so fast. ... show more

  • Great quality but not long enough
The only negative is I wish they were just a little longer!

  • Review from a PT - excellent set
I am a physical therapist so I can easily use bands from the office, but I wanted to check out these Gaiam bands for home use, and I really like them! (Much better than the bulk rolls of band at my office...) Therabands in general are super versatile. You can use them to help you stretch (for example to help you get a deeper hamstring stretch when you're on your back), you can use them to strengthen (for example bicep curls), and you can use them to "rehab" an injury (for example starting gentle resistive exercises after a surgery). These bands obviously can perform all 3 functions; what makes them special is that you are getting 3 different resistances in the pack, they are wide and comfortable- not binding at all, and they are sturdy (you don't want bands that split). It's nice that there are exercises actually printed on the bands but don't get too excited - there are only 8. BOTTOM LINE: excellent pack for home use! ... show more

  • keep up my strength
When I received these last year I had just been diagnosed with cancer. Having had it before I knew that my strength would fade away in no time at all. I opened these bands up and when I could, I used them. The exercises to use them are printed right on the bands themselves and have lasted me a year so I'd say they are well worth the price. I wasn't able to use them all through my cancer but now as I've gotten finished with my chemo, I'm up to getting my strength back. Three days a week I go to the gym and two days a week I work with the bands. I've noticed that the bands have some of the same exercises on them as some of the machines I work on at the gym. I've been using the bands in conjunction with the gym for about a month and I can feel my strength coming back. These would be good for bed ridden patients. I think I'll get my Dad a set for Christmas. ... show more
