Generally speaking, I really like these lamps. They look good and very much as advertised. The wood toned ones go great with a farmhouse or modern farmhouse or even vintage look. All that I like. What I didn't love, and why I'm ultimately giving these 4 stars instead of 5, is a couple things. First, while I didn't have any issues with getting the lampshades rolled onto the rings in tight, secure fashion, I did have issues with the lampshades being crooked. As one of the pictures shows, one of the screw fasteners was clearly bent, so when I screwed on the lampshade without any adjusters (see picture), you can clearly tell that the shade is crooked. While the other fastener was less crooked, I still had some problems with the shade being crooked (though less so with the second one). I ended up cutting a black rubber washer for a hose in half and stuck that under the lampshade on the side I needed to elevate to make it balanced. I'm sure not everyone is going to have one of these lying around the house, but anything similar would likely do the trick. But this was a little annoying, and some other reviewers called this out as well. The other issue I had is something other reviewers called out as well too: the "night light" under neath the shade is somehow brighter than the bulb in the lamp. Even though the lower light has three different brightness settings, even the least bright one is pretty bright. I'm not sure you can fix this with different bulbs or not, but again, this was a little annoying. I thought the lowest setting here would be very dimly lit, but that's not the case. This part, unlike the crooked lampshade fasteners, may not be able to be fixed. So bottom line, a couple issues here, neither of which are dealbreakers, but both of which are pretty annoying for $45 lamps. Hopefully the manufacturer can fix these issues in future models, because if they do, the lamps would be really cool pieces at a great value. At the current state of things, they're just 4 stars worthy. Still worth buying, but be prepared to probably have to finagle something to get the shades straight.

*** Updated *** - I was able to return the lamps and get replacements sent by Amazon at no charge. I was also contacted by the seller and offered a refund which I declined since they were replaced. They really care about the customer and want to make it right. The lamps are beautiful. These work perfectly and we love them. Order the two set in Black. They look great but the lower touch portion only lasted for two days and stopped working. Yes we checked the the bulb. It just won't tun on any longer. Would return to Amazon but we already threw the box away and repacking costs aren't worth it.

The media could not be loaded. This lamp works perfectly for what I need it for and in the space I need it for. I had read in a review that the night light and lamp light couldn't be turned on separately, but I was happy to learn they can. The night light at the bottom has three brightness settings which is perfect for any amount of light you're looking for. The top light can be turned on by itself OR with the bottom light and lights up a room really well. The selling point for me is the USB port. It allows the phone to charge within reaching distance to use the phone. The color of the base works perfect as it matches the wrought iron bed frame which is how it was pictured and a bonus! This lamp was easy to assemble, durable and easy to use.
