I bought this as a space for my litttles when we are not home. One of my girls, Alice Ali-gator, is blind (on right in photo) and it allows me to know she is safe when I'm away. We've used an x-pen for years, but I got tired of the look. This is much sturdier and looks more stylish in our living room. The pen was easy to assemble, looks/functions as described, and the seller's customer service is the best I've encountered on or off Amazon. Seriously, they get 5 stars for customer service alone. A couple pieces were damaged in transit and I didn't want to have to reopen the entire item for a replacement. Seller's response was fast, courteous, and instructive. They replaced the damaged sections quickly and with no fuss. Three notes: 1). I purchased the 24" height because none of my dogs will NOT challenge the fence. From their beds, they could hip right over, but I know they won't. So, if purchasing, be sure you get a height appropriate for your situation. Even for my littles, if I was worried about then jumping, I would have chosen the 40 in high. 2). If I could change one thing, it would be for the latch to have a longer drop and it would have a hole where you could put in a clip to secure the latch (see photo Illustration). I will likely drill one on the one I get for an upcoming litter. 3). Be aware the seller states this pen style is meant for indoor use. They make a version for outside with different poles and coating. And yes, I plan to purchase one of their outside pens for a litter of puppies we'll be raising shortly.     • Perfect for my dog! Exactly what I was looking for.

This is perfect for my Husky so that he can be safely left home for a few hours especially when we are on vacation or visiting family, as well as at our home since he has over the years managed to get through most of our attempted dog proofing including locks on the fridge and cabinets and doggy doors. We adopted him when he was a year old and he was never crate trained, we attempted crate training briefly just for traveling mainly, tried multiple crates and he broke through all of them and we were concerned he would hurt himself. He can open doors so if they automatically unlock when the knob is turned from the inside without a deadbolt he can escape. This happened in an Airbnb with a code lock on the door, luckily we got him back but have been afraid to take him anywhere since. So if you have a magician dog too, this crate might work for you as well. I think the reason he likes this dog pen in that it doesn’t feel as confining with the open top. I got the 8 panel option to give him maximum space, but it can be configured with as many or few panels as you want, with a very easy set up and take down. The bottom is weighted enough that it’s very sturdy and stands up well, but it isn’t super heavy. I just need to find the right carrier for all the parts and this thing is coming with us everywhere! Should easily fit in any SUV trunk and probably most sedan trunks as well. And when not traveling it is currently set up in a portion of the living room with the dog’s food and water and toys. ... show more

We love this FXW HomePlus Dog Playpen for Indoor Use. It came in a large box and was packed well enough that it was in good shape when it arrived. We were making-do with a pen we constructed of cardboard boxes for our new puppy to have his own little den and to keep him out of trouble. But of course he wanted to chew the cardboard and it was also difficult to clean if he had an accident on it. So I found this playpen and it works perfectly for us! He isn't so interested in chewing the metal walls of this pen like he was with the cardboard, and he can also see through the walls to what else is going on in the room, which he couldn't do as easily with the cardboard. Plus, he has a larger area to play and still can't get out. The sections of this pen connect easily, and quietly. The door stays shut unless we use both hands to open it (the only thing we occasionally find inconvenient - like when we're carrying something), so he can't sneak out. When we take him out of the house to do his business, he comes back in and struts proudly to his playpen den door. So cute. ... show more

UPDATE on 8/15/23 The company reached out to me about the door latch or rather lack of one to make opening easier and offered me a solution. I am so appreciative of their wonderful gesture and the fact that THEY reached out to me and wanted to help to make my purchase a positive one. I still stand by the tease of putting up and the height for me, love it. Great playpen and I am so looking forward to receiving the door panel with the latch (came on another playpen they offered) because once I replace the old door with the new, it should be perfect!!!!!! I will definitely buy more from the company in the future. Their customer service and all out effort to help a customer...spot on perfect:) Overall, I really like this playpen with the EXCEPTION of how the heck is one to open the gate while simulataneously trying to pick up the two small hinges??? It is the most odd thing ever and I have had playpens in the past but no door handle to open is so bizarre! That's the downfall of this playpen is trying to maneuver the two tiny latches all the while trying to also at the same time try and get the door open with your fingers, very difficult for something that should be so easy. ... show more
