    • Excellent Kennel - Much better than I thought it would be.
I needed a kennel for my two bigger dogs. They're both between 40-60 lbs. and I wanted 3 main things: The Kennel needed to be tall enough, it needed to have chain link and not some type of chicken wire that a lot of kennels come with and I wanted some sort of covering for it. This one fit the bill, so I settled on it after looking for days. It arrived in a timely manner in 2 boxes, and all the pieces were there and in perfect shape. It was much easier to put together than I thought it would be and the frame was much sturdier than I thought it would be. It only took an hour or two and I did have help with the chain link part but even that was much easier than I thought it would be. Instead of using the wire it came with I used stainless steel zip ties to make it more secure. I put them along the bottom and top and the two side poles. The 4 corners were nice and tight and didn't really need any. A lot of the kennels on Amazon will say they're 6 or 7 feet tall but only go up to about 4 feet before you put on the top poles for the tarp which is way too small for my dogs. This one is exactly 5 feet tall from bottom to top of chain link to the top of it which is too high for my dogs to jump out of. One of them jumps some but really isn't a jumper. Having the poles on top so you can lay a tarp over it is super nice. I don't expect the tarp to last too long (they never do. No matter how expensive or heavy duty they say they are they all dry rot in extreme heat and sunlight) but it's not a big deal. I can just buy another 10x10 tarp in the future when and if I need it. To my surprise my dogs are pretty chill. They haven't tried to dig out and don't push or pull on the fencing so it's working perfectly for me. Although if you have a much larger dog that's more aggressive or just more destructive your mileage may vary. The main weak point I see for those types of dogs would be the two poles that you use to connect the chain link to the frame and the gate. I was going to put some steel zip ties to help secure them, but when I began to ratchet them up it bent it a little. You might could find some heavier duty poles or reinforce with some T-posts or something if your dog does pull/push at the fence with a lot of strength. T-posts probably wouldn't help for the gate but maybe consider stronger poles if you're worried about your dog's getting out there. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised. It looks much bigger once set up and my dogs have plenty of room to lounge around and even play a bit. Just make sure you secure everything really well. If you just set up with a bit of wire, then it would probably be easy for some dogs to get out. ... show more

We are so happy with this purchase. It arrived on time and it was pretty easy to assemble. You will need at least two people to do so. We are keeping our bunnies in there and they love it. I do wish the roof liner was easier on the eyes but not a big deal.

The important need to know, wear gloves, use pliers, ask for help. The product is sturdy has clear instructions. I needed a place for my dog to be when I couldnt watch him to make sure he didnt jump over the wall and eat the neighbors He is a big boy. I don't know what I was expecting when I bought this, but it definitely wasn't a roll of fencing. This was hard to build, like not the bones of it but the fence part of it especially because I built it by myself. Its not impossible but it's better built with two hands and Tools!! I did each loop of metal by hand by the end my hands were sore and gray and I punctured a couple fingers. But that's my own fault, I gave myself a deadline to have it done before the night. Only flaw if you have a beefy dog he will make easy work of digging under and out or just bending the fencing outta shape. Though my little horse damaged and dug it held up pretty good. I fixed my wall issue so my dog can move freely now but this cage doubles as a makeshift dog house if your crafty. ... show more

very nice for the price. i am holding back a rat terroir. might not be what you want for a huge strong dog wire is suffecent size for most but i have been around some that could bend this with there teeth it is chain link and it might take a lot for them to get it stretched for a hole but it would look bad . i didn't use as many ties as they sent for the construction but use a lot on the bottom the wire can be pushed out if not supported i had the kennel tied down on 4 corners with trampoline springs holding pressure and a storm moved the cage with the top tarp on it only inches but keep that in mind are you might have to go looking for the dog after the storm. it is also light if not tied to the ground a strong dog could push under. ... show more
