  • Sweet!
Size: 47mm Color: Stainless Steel
I am a watch nut. However, though I have written many product reviews on Amazon, and many of those reviews were about watches that I have collected, I have not written any reviews about Invicta watches because I have been reluctant to buy them until recently. That was because the one experience I previously had with Invicta was a watch that I purchased in 2001 that had a failed movement that needed to be replaced within a year of purchase. I coupled that experience with all of the bad reviews written by 'watch snobs' on watch websites and concluded that Invicta was probably a brand that I could live without. That was until I saw this gem on Amazon. It was so striking in appearance that I was immediately drawn to it. In fact, I couldn't take my eyes off it, and soon pulled the trigger. Like so many other manufacturers, Invicta patterned a group of diver watches after the Rolex Submariner and this is one of those 'clones.' However, I soon found out that this was not just another Rolex wannabe, but an offering that truly stood on its own legs. This watch is bold, big and hefty, so if you have small wrists or not accustomed to lugging a small hunk of solid metal on your arm, this might not be the watch for you. Though this watch may bear some resemblance to the aforementioned Rolex Submariner, closer inspection reveals some real differences. The dial face is substantially large, but not overly so as are some of the almost cartoonish and garish, large Invictas that I often see in watch shop windows. The band is thick and the case is super sturdy. Invicta customarily emblazons its name on the side of the watch case, but they go one step further on this model and place the words 'Grand Diver' on the crown side of the watch, which is a nice touch. The Invicta Grand Diver logo is displaced on the face, the crown and on opposing ends of the case; giving the grand diver a distinctive character. Some others may feel the 4 logos are a bit over the top, but I don't find them to be a distraction or annoyance. Your tastes may dictate otherwise. This watch uses the Seiko NH35A movement, which is a 24-jewel automatic movement that is known to be very reliable and solid. Seiko (along with Bulova, Orient and Citizen) is a manufacturer that I have turned to time and again because they are reliable and low-cost, and therefore represent high value at a modest cost point. The sweep of the second hand is smooth, though the stops are easily perceptible as it circumnavigates the dial face. The lume is negligible after only an hour, so if that is a big thing for you, this watch may not serve your needs. The caseback provides the observation window through which you can see the mechanism operating, which has become more or less standard for automatics in recent years. The band and clasp are heavy and sturdy; not unlike the treads of an M1 Abrams tank. The date magnifier is a nice because my eyes aren't what they used to be. The overall styling, look and feel of this watch tells you time and again that this is a man's watch with brass cojones, in case you forget...which isn't likely. I cannot yet say that this is a reliable timepiece as I haven't had sufficient time to observe, but I can say that I have high hopes and expectations. If so, I may consider adding another Invicta to my collection in the future. So far, this seems to be a great offering and a steal at this price point and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone ... show more

  • Stunning and Beautiful ! I love this Grand Divers Watch with its incredibly accurate AUTOMATIC Seiko NH35A Movement Stunning and Beautiful ! I love this Grand Divers Watch with its incredibly accurate AUTOMATIC Seiko NH35A Movement
Size: 47mm Color: Black
I absolutely LOVE this Invicta Grand Diver Watch Model Number 3047. I am new to the Invicta Enthusiast Movement. This past Christmas I received my first Invicta Big Faced Watch from my son. It was a Stainless Steel Watch with Blue and Black face and bezel (Model Number 20478). I LOVED having a Big Faced Watch at that point and within the past 2 months, I have purchased 3 more Invicta Big Faced Watches and love each one. I now have a total of 4 Invicta watches and I will most likely be buying more. They are just such beautiful machines that I love wearing. This Stainless Steel Automatic Grand Diver Model 3047 with its Green Bezel and Black face is so stunning. The contrasting colors make reading the time on this watch a breeze. It is not cluttered with intrusive designs or dials and it is not too big at 47mm. With that being said, it is much larger than any Timex or Casio or Seiko that I have ever owned yet I have 2 more Invicta's that are actually larger at 50mm. This Model 3047 has a 47mm case. So it is a little bit smaller than my others. The magnifier on on the dial window is an addition that is much appreciated as you get older. The dial window is made of a durable Mineral Crystal. The hands and time indicator marks have a luminescence that actually does glow in the dark. Unlike many other watches that I've owned. The band bracelet was very easily sized with very inexpensive tools that you can obtain over the internet sites. I re-sized my watch band myself and I am not a jeweler or watch repair person. It came out perfect with no struggle at all. The Green color is not loud, vivid or trendy. It is quite classy and adds just a splash of color to subdue any boringness that become the norm with the run-of-the-mill ordinary silver add black watch that everyone has. The Stainless Steel watch case is has a partial satin finish and a partial polished mirror finish. The case has the really cool Divers Helmet molded into the stainless steel case at both the top and bottom. This signifies that it really is a genuine divers watch and is capable of withstanding dive depths of approximately 1000 feet. Although most of us will never dive to those depths and the rest of us will never dive at all, the dive depth rating signifies the durability of this watch. And we “all” want a product that is as durable and tough as possible. This watches bracelet is another work of art. The center links have a mirror polished finish and the outer links have a satin finish. Very Classy and contrasty. I Love It ! The Green Bezel actually does rotate in one direction only. This is to monitor air supply for the real divers that use this watch for its actual intended purpose. There are videos and instructions all over the internet that explain how to use a watch bezel. Very easy. My VERY Favorite feature of this watch is that it incorporates the VERY RELIABLE and very accurate Japanese made Automatic Seiko Movement – The Seiko Movement Model Number is: NH35A – Yes this watch has the beautiful styling of Invicta and it also has the reliable Seiko Movement.....In case you didn't know, an Automatic Movement never needs a battery replacement because it does not operate on battery power. The motion and movement of your wrist is what winds this accurate watch up. You can also wind the watch by hand by turning the crown. So I guess you can consider it a hybrid ? I'm not sure, but that makes sense to me. Speaking of the incredible Seiko Automatic Movement, the watch manufacturer did not want to hide this special feature from you or your admirers, so engineered into the back of the watch is an Exhibition Back which actually has a window on the back of the case to view the decorated yellow pendulum swinging back and forth to wind your watch. Again, no boringness here. Lots to look at and admire about your new watch. Another very nice feature of this beautiful watch is that it has a screw down crown. This is one of the reasons it is rated to dive so deep. Because screwing down the crown stem actually seals things up more effectively than pressing it in. With this watch, you can actually stop the second hand so that you can adjust the time to the exact second. This Grand Divers watch with its black face and green bezel is not heavy at all. In fact, it wears so much more comfortably than any of my lightweight and small Timex watches. Yes it is much larger and much heavier than your normal sized watch, but the way the case and high quality bracelet was engineered makes for a very comfortable fit and the weight and size is actually un-noticable. I am NOT a large man. My wrist diameter is 7 inches to 7 and a half inches. So I have attached pictures of this watch and what it looks like on my 7 to 7.5 inch wrist. In my opinion, it fits and looks perfectly. The style these days is the Big Faced Watch. So this size is very attractive. Wear this Beautiful Watch with a pair of jeans or wear it with a Black Suit to a business Meeting or a Wedding. This is a stunning piece of jewelry. Hopefully I have addressed all of your concerns or questions that you may have had. In case I may have missed something, I have added a few pictures to my review so that you can see exactly what the product I have received is like without viewing some modified, or professionally photo-shopped images that make the product appear like more than what you will receive. These attached pictures are raw out of my point-and-shoot camera with no editing at all. So enjoy ! Can you please do me a favor ? If you have simply enjoyed reading my review or If my attached pictures and description has helped you in any way, could you PLEASE mark my review as "Helpful" please. I would REALLY Appreciate that and it helps encourage me to keep writing reviews of my purchases… Thanks :-) . . . ... show more

  • MUCH better looking than the photos!!
Size: 47mm Color: Two-Tone Blue
This one of the lowest priced Invictas and arguably the best value for a watch on all of Amazon. The photos in the Amazon description are not very accurate. The watch is far better looking in person. The bezel color is a deep lustrous cobalt blue. The watch face while not as pearlescent as a real Rolex is also a deep indigo or cobalt blue depending on which way the light reflects off it. The closest photo to real was taken by a reviewer named Santi and can be found at the top of the reviews under "Reviews with images". One of the earlier photos show that the bezel color used to have green in it. No longer. The current shade is that perfect cobalt blue, contrasted by gold (painted) numbers. I have a medium large wrist. Just slightly above average. I took two links out and came in one pin on the bracelet adjustment. Do NOT buy a plastic resizer. I bought one and threw it out so you don't have to. I did also buy this resizer tool which worked perfectly, first time. No bent pins. https://www.amazon.com/Selizo-Watch-Remover-Removal-Sizing/dp/B07H5F43N3/ref=pd_sbs_7/132-91 I add a drop of BLUE or Purple Loctite to the end of ANY pin I remove and then put back in place. The movement is NOT Seiko or Japanese. Those movements alone cost over $100. The movement in the watch is a CLONE of a Japanese movement with 100% made in China parts assembled in Malaysia in open rooms full of outside dust. How much dirt you have in your movement depends on the weather that day. How well it keeps time is a crap shoot. My first Invicta, a SS 40mm Submariner clone had a filthy movement and could only be adjusted to be a minute slow each DAY. The cost to clean and correct that is more than the cost of the watch. I didn't like the watch anyways. Too small. I got lucky with this Grand Diver. It seems about only 15 or 20 seconds slow per day. Much better. You don't have the movements cleaned after several years. You use the watch until it fails, and then purchase a brand new one. Tips to keep your watch looking nice. A Rolex can withstand massive abuse and neglect and be polished out like new (for a price $$$). Once the gold plating it worn off or scratched on these INVICTAS, time to purchase a new one. BUT, if you don't wear it in your sleep or shower with it, or wear it while working on your car, it can last. WASH your watch. Human sweat and oils can be quite caustic to Invictas. ESPECIALLY plated versions like this. I WASH my watch in running hot(ish) water every couple of days. Every surface. Use diluted dish detergent. No need for a brush if washed regularly. I just use my fingers. rinse well and BLOT dry with a good paper towel like VIVA. Do NOT rub dry and polish with microfiber. That action will only scratch and wear the finish faster. Blot with a high quality paper towel. The hot water helps dry the entire watch also. SPIN the bezel when washing occasionally or it will collect dirt and debris and freeze up. Trust me. I have been doing this to inexpensive, plated watches successfully for many years. ... show more

  • High quality timepiece

Very attractive watch, automatic, can go up to 3 days of not wearing and not lose one minute of time, can be hand wound as well as motion wound. Great weight, you can tell it's a quality timepiece.

  • Solid Pro Diver with Great Presence
Size: 47mm Color: Silver/Black
I’m very happy with this Invicta Pro Diver Automatic. The fit and finish are better than expected, and the size and weight give it a solid, substantial feel on the wrist. It looks great in person and definitely has strong wrist presence without feeling cheap or poorly made. The only potential downside is the large case size. Because of that, I do find myself being a bit more aware of it when moving around, and it doesn’t always fit comfortably under long-sleeve shirts or jacket cuffs. That’s not a flaw so much as something to be aware of if you prefer slimmer watches. Overall, it’s a well-built, good-looking automatic watch at a very reasonable price, and I’m pleased with the purchase. ... show more

Punches way above its price point in wrist presence. I get lots of compliments on it. Waterproof for everything I've thrown at it so far.

  • Worth every penny!!!!!!!!!
Size: 47mm Color: Silver/Black
Invicta Men's 3044 Stainless Steel Grand Diver Automatic Watch, Silver/Black I have owned many high end watches in my day. The service alone on a high end watch could be any where from $200 to $2500. Those days are over for me. High end means low end these days and who needs the hassle? Not me!! So with that said, I sold all of my high end watches and now I have this Invicta Men's Grand Diver 3044 Stainless Steel, 47mm case, with a uni-directional rotating bezel, a black dial and a flame fusion crystal. The stainless steel band is fitted with a fold over with safety release clasp. This beautiful wristwatch, powered by a SII Caliber NH35A, automatic movement, supporting: date, hour, minute, second functions. Needs no batteries and is water proof to 1000 feet (300 meters). It cost me less that $115.00 shipped to my door and its a chunky heavy watch just like I like my watches. I get compliments all the time and if asked I tell the truth. I say I got this on Amazon for $115 shipped and I'm super proud to where this any where in the world. I only find shame in over paying for a watch I have to service and this watch keeps better time and has been super reliable. Great workmanship and quality. Let's talk about the movement. The engine inside that makes this watch tick. The movement is a SEIKO (SII) CALIBER NH35A. Look up NH35A. This is one of the world’s most popular automatic movements. Check out "Caliber Corner" and you will know every thing you wanted to know about this super reliable movement and its 24 jewels. So what are Jewels? Jewels are used for all the pivot points in the gear train, as well as in the anti-shock settings. Jewels (rubies) reduce friction and over time, as watches became complicated, the amount of jewels gradually are increased. Automatic watches like this one will use more jewels because there are more movements. Any ways, I love this watch. You cant go wrong for $115 to your door and wont be replacing it any time soon :0) Chris - ... show more

  • there is no better deal out there
Size: 47mm Color: Black
There's a lot of controversy and debate on watch forums about the quality of Invicta's diver-style watches. This could be off-putting to newcomers who are looking for a quality inexpensive, introductory diver-style watch. The price seems to have gone up on this watch slightly, but, even for twice what I paid, there is no better deal out there. This watch has a hand-winding and hacking nh35a automatic mechanical movement. This means that when you unscrew the crown and pull it out to the 1st position, the second hand stops. This feature allows you to set the time with much greater accuracy. Also, the crown can be wound clockwise to wind the mainspring if the watch has stopped or if the wearer wants to ensure the spring is fully charged. The lume on the watch is good (not great - though much better than Invicta's pro diver line of watches), with elevated luminescent hour markers. The screw down crown and screw-down exhibition caseback make the watch extremely water resistant...Invicta even advertises it as 300m water resistant. I've showered and swum with it, and there is no fogging or any other sign of collected moisture after a month. The movement is accurate to within 15 seconds per day. It's not a Swiss Tourbillon, but you're only paying 90 dollars. Aesthetically it is very impressive. It has a bright (but not obnoxious) green aluminum bezel with a lumed dot at the 12 o'clock mark. the case and bracelet are polished stainless steel, and the bracelet is oyster style with highly polished center links. The invicta diver icon is visible on the tops of the solid end links and on the watch face at the 6 o'clock position. The watch face itself is a matte black color that contrasts very nicely with the elevated hour markers. Finally, the Invicta logo is visible on the clasp, which snaps into place and does not utilize a push-button feature, although it has the diver-style safety clasp. It's a big, masculine looking watch at 47mms - keep that in mind. It wasn't an issue for me, though. My only complaints: mineral crystal, no push button diver style clasp, and no diver extension on the bracelet. I added a diver style extension to the 22mm bracelet, and this helps quite a bit. Also, I noticed that the bezel didn't seem to be perfectly seated at first, but after rotating it 360 degrees twice it operated smoothly and has ever since. The bracelet will be too big for you at first unless you have massive wrists, but a jeweler can easily size the bracelet for you if you don't have the tools at home. At the end of the day, these are almost meaningless complaints. With a promo coupon, I paid under $70 for a submariner-style dive watch that functions flawlessly. I wear it more often than my multiple thousand dollar high-end Rado, because I'm not terrified of damaging it. If you're looking to get started with a large-face quality dive watch, go with one of these Invicta grand divers. You're not going to be disappointed. ... show more
