Pretty much the same as the big name ones. The app doesn't give all the same dynamics, but pretty close and easy to use. Very bright. Easy to install. Gives the house color all year long for all kinds of fun. Our kids love them!

order received, but upon openeing the box I noticed the light strings were not in any form of packaging. The lights were just laid in the box with a tie wrap around them. The controller was in a sealed bag, looks like this was a previously returned item. I installed the 3 light strings and plugged them into the controller. All the lights came on but only one of the three light strings had multi color. The other 2 light strings were one color. I connected my phone to the controller but couldnt get any change out of the lights, nor would it turn the lights off. We are definitely in a time where you must check everything before installing. ... show more

Lights are pretty good.Could be brighter bit not bad. Ours didn't come with enough screws for all the lights & clips to be mounted. Also not enough clips. Had to buy more screws & clips. It's been through so good tain storms & so far so good. Although the power block & control blocked were under an eve. Has a good selection of light patterns or use app for ALOT more. I would give it 4.5 stars,because of not enough screws & clips. ... show more

The lights are nice. The app isn't user friendly and I could find only one video that explains how to use the app. No extension like the GOVEE so the runs are continuous. I ran short on distance and need about 50 more feet as my neighbor stated he ordered and used 200 ft for GOVEE. The minimum footage is 150. Received the additional footage and had to install them as two separate light functions. You can group them in the app as one but they have to be programmed individually. It's a pain it the butt to shift between the two apps or set ups. Overall the quality is good but if I had to do it over again, i would recommend paying more for the GOVEE. ... show more
