I had read a bunch of the other reviews so I knew that the spare parts were kept in the zippered part of the headrest, I can tell you that they are indeed packed there. I wanted this bed frame as it sits low to the ground and I put a low profile memory foam mattress on it and my toddler has no issue getting in and out of bed himself. Also, if he falls off the bed he wont get seriously injured. Bed frame came properly shipped so it wasn't damaged at all. Instructions were easy to follow. I assembled it by myself, took about an hour but I really took my time and used my own tools. It does come with all the tools you need I just used my own. Looks great, the color makes it super easy to match with basically any sheet set. One box was delivered and the side board and other parts were missing like many other reviewers said. But as I was repackaging to return, I noticed a zipper on the back of the headboard! Whew!

UPDATE: Despite numerous attempts to reach customer service, their has been no response. As of this morning, the bed has essentially become useless as you'll see in the pictures. What an absolute disappoint, DO NOT BUY Was really excited about this bed frame. Appeared to be sturdy and was fairly easily to put together. However, we have had this bed for less than 2 months, and the legs for the support beams are starting to fall off, completely stripped and broken. My wife and I are not large people by any means, and have no idea how or why this happened. I have called the manufacture's support hotline on their website, but it says it's a Google Subscriber that asks for your name (which I did), and then was declined. I have sent an email to the support email according to their website, and have heard nothing. This leads me to believe that the customer service is non-existent for this company in case you do have any issues. Beware of this bed though. My wife is 5ft tall and 115lbs and I'm 6ft tall and 175lbs...there is no reason for this bed to be falling apart like it is. ... show more

I, like the first few reviews though that just the headboard and the footboard came; no other parts were inside the box; well the headboard has a zipper on the back and all the parts were nicely placed inside even all the screws and instructions. Easy to assemble, it took me about 45 minutes. I just need to try the sturdiness, since a teenager is going to use it. ... show more

This is the best bed frame I have ever put together. It is easy. It is beautiful and sturdy. Slats do not need millions of screws and everything clicks into place and you tight the already installed screws. Things tool is super fun and makes doing this job quick. No need to buying other tools. Everything you need is right inside the headboard. I have made many bed frames. This is the top of the line in style and form and function and so easy my 12 year and 14 year old put it together alone. I bought full size and twin size.
