Overall, I’d give this 3.5 stars. It was reasonably priced, which was great since I wanted to use it as a plant stand on my patio. It was easy to assemble and feels stable (though I haven’t sat on it). My only issue was how it arrived. As you can see, there are two support pieces underneath the bench that were (I think) meant to arrive nailed in. When I opened the box, the nails were bent and the pieces were barely hanging on. It also looked like they’d been glued in addition to nailed in. Not quite sure how this happened, but I found it quite frustrating. The reason I chose not to send it back is because those two pieces seem to be more for an added “look” than to be actually doing anything to support the bench. They’re also underneath so you can’t really tell they’re not on properly. Again, it’s a great bench for the money, but it seemed like such an odd thing to be bent/broken from the get go. I bought this to go on my porch. It turned out super cute. Easy to assemble, all you need to attach is the legs. and it comes with an Allen wrench. Cute compact size and works well in small areas.

    • Not that easy to assemble
This is a cute little bench. It is "rustic" which means it was only lightly sanded. It is little... a little more than 3' long and 1' wide. It is perfect for my tiny house deck and looks nice where I placed it. It's light enough so it can be moved around, which is nice. It is not that easy to assemble but that is because the tool provided is just a little bit long to leverage. I discovered that when I had it face down (on the foam it was packed in so it won't scratch) if I put the washer and screw in the top hole first, then tighten it, then get the washer/screw into the hole closest to the bench top was a bit easier. I am 80 years old and have arthritic hands. If I can assemble it, anyone can. six months later: I need to dig out the tool that came with the bench and tighten the legs. It's been sitting out on the deck and the legs are wobbly. I was cleaning it in preparation for adding some teak oil to condition it for winter when I noticed that the legs were loose. I got out the original tool and tightened all of the screws holding the legs on and it is sturdy once again. However, as it rubbed up against my sweat pants wood fibers came off the legs and embedded them in the fabric so I have been pulling wood out of my clothes all evening. ... show more

    • Nice sturdy bench
This bench was easy to assemble and quite sturdy. The wood had a teak color stain which gave off a great amount of odor for several days. Thankfully, I got it for my garage otherwise it would have been hard to deal with inside the home. The one disappointment was that the wood wasn’t better sanded and smoothed since there were several rough edges and areas. I sanded them without removing the stain and then applied two coats of wood wax to improve the finish. Otherwise, it’s a great bench for the price. ... show more
