Good product to use UNDERNEATH the top cover of your dog bed. Makes it so much easier to remove the outer cover to wash. This used by itself would not be durable as it would tear easily if the pup started chewing on it. Besides that, dogs don't like sleeping on plastic alone. I had another Furhaven cover for this bed (also by Furhaven), a brown microfiber material, that lasted ok but was difficult to get fully clean and also definitely got damaged in the wash 😅 I loved finding that Furhaven sold separate (in my case replacement) covers in the exact (jumbo) size I needed, definitely relieved to know I didn’t have to get rid of the whole bed because my dog loves it. This new cover is a nice fluffy material that so far has been keeping clean- a few vacuum’s, no washes, and smells better. It is a nice cold toned gray color. Original cover lasted me years by zippering closed before washing. Heavy use and pawing by my bulldog. By a waterproof cover for the memory foam mattress and it slides right back on after washing.

Not even 60 seconds out of the package and the zipper has already separated. I was able to get it back together, but I am a bit concerned about it coming apart again. It also seems thiner than the one I am replacing. Guess we'll find out how protective it ends up being. The packaging it came in leads a lot to be desired.
