Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great light. Ladies love it! Be careful if purchasing usb Mars-Hydro iConnectu dongle as it is quirky and will log you out if you disconnect it or mess with the dimmer dial on the light. Logged me out and I went 7 hours of light longer than my 12/12 schedule I had set up. Worked well for couple weeks but something happened yesterday when I removed the Bluetooth iConnectu. Awesome light, on the large side you can grow 4-5 plants easily. Very easy to use plants are happy. I got lucky a friend came over to build it and hang it. Not hard to do but the instructions are terrible, a few YouTube videos helped. Unexpected having to put it together. I thought I got a great deal at$400 with a $160 coupon. I just saw it for $378 on here. 😮 great light, great price!

So far it is going great! Was able to get wifi hooked easily and set up my app! Just make sure you are using your 2g wifi connection not the 5g when you hook to it and make sure you do the same with your phone so they can share a connection and do not forget to turn your phones Bluetooth on like I did at first lol my only problem was I thought I was missing pieces to the light but I found I received the upgraded light which does not use the wing nuts or wire hoop thingy. But I had gotten an older manual so I thought I was missing stuff, so just be aware and when you go to use the dimmer switch on the light, make sure to press the button by the daisy chain channels and plug in daisy chain chord to 1st channel. It wouldn't let me dim it otherwise until I had the app but otherwise it works flawlessly and my plants love it! We are definitely getting the larger midel once we get our house, but not much room so I just needed it for 3 little babies I have going. So much better than the little quantum board light I had. Now hopefully it lasts a long time and I'll be sure to update this if anything does happen. But so far I think I made the right choice! Love the bar style of the light and easily covers the entire 3 by 3 space. Could probably cover more if I needed it to and I love that I can run it at 60% to 75% and only be using 200 watts! This light is super bright so make sure to wear glasses and cant wait to add the uv and ir bars! I'll post my results at the end for everyone! 10/01/23 So update: I am 2 days in and the device has completely stopped connecting to any wifi or blue tooth and I can no longer control the dimmer at all. So I can either use it at 10% or 100% which both are useless to me as I'm in veg! I hope mars has a solution and when I shut the light off in the app it is no longer shutting off. So I have no idea what is wrong with this. I have to manually unplug it to shut it off. The dimmer switch doesn't shut it off either anymore. UPDATE: Less than 1 month later the hardware failed and it no longer can be dimmed or connected to the app through blue tooth or wifi. I have gotten no help from mars with the issues which obviously are the hardware and am wondering why these are being sold for hundreds of dollars when they aren't worth anything close to that. I mean if the manual dimmer switch worked than it would be fine and I could still use it but the manual dimmer switch doesn't even work! Honestly I should have just saved up and bought the AC Infinity light but I thought mars was supposed to be a good brand but so far they suck! It was good for 30 days so now I'm suspicious. If I was someone looking for a new light, just save up and don't waste your money on these! If someone would have at least answered me and helped me fix the issue, I would have recommend the light cuz when it works it is nice but it has not worked almost at all and it supposed to be brand new and I just wish I had listened to the reviews. The hardware is complete junk!

At 62 years of age, this has been the worst purchase ever! Now jan of 2025, I continue to have constant light bar failures, currently 10 of the 12 original light bars have failed, Mars hydro has warrantied them with a corrected light bar, but at a cost to myself. My belief is Mars hydro was aware of there faulty product and should of replaced it under full warranty when i first made a claim, instead this problem has slowly continued to this day. From the first claim the original light bars, 10 bars of 12 to date, marked MHCEF441LED001.0-480W-A have failed by simply turning on a light switch. While the replacements (9) marked MHCEF441LED00A1.2-480W have not had any failures at all. That is why my belief is Mars hydro was aware of the problem, and failed to appropriately warranty there product at first claim.Now the 10th light bar has FAILED, after another warranty request I'm informed by Mars hydro the product has been discontinued, but i can purchase a replacement fixture for a discounted price. Mind that each failure I've taken them down and had to put back up my 1000w HID and wait 2 months for delivery. I don't operate during the summer months. I refuse to spend any more money on a FAILED MARS HYDRO PRODUCT! I purchased 2 fc-4800 in August of 2022. I've had 6 light strip failures on both fixtures since. Mars hydro has warrantied the failed strips, but at a slow process, and shipping costs. After last failure, mars hydro has offered to replace fixtures at a cost to me of $221 ea. I declined. Update 7-26-24: after 2 months i received another warranted strip. started my system today, another 3 light strips failed again. Mars hydro has contacted me, $30 shipping and a 2 month delivery. I totally regret purchasing this product 😡
