I discovered in January, that if you have an abdominal hernia, and surgery just isn't feasible right now, then wearing some type of compression belt will help keep it from getting any worse. Plus, wearing a belt, such as this one, alleviates the pain that comes from the hernia bulge pushing against the abdominal wall. Compression belts help me manage my umbilical hernia greatly. Since January, I have tried various belts to find one that works best for me. I now have 10 assorted abdominal binders/belts. This Funcy belt is one of my favorites. I like it because it is very comfortable to wear. It is so comfortable, that sometimes I will forget that I have it on, and go to sleep still wearing it! I almost always wear it directly over my skin, and under my shirt. It doesn't make me sweaty, neither is it scratchy feeling. This belt is very easy to put on. I have found that the very easiest way is to lay the belt across your bed, with the Velcro closures either on the right or left, depending on which handed you are. Then simply lay on top of the belt. Secure the belt to your desired compression. Then you're done. In addition, you can use the 2 adjustable cross straps after you get up, to further customize the fit and to provide extra compression. I, myself, never use these cross straps, as I am happy with the fit without them. The Velcro fasteners on this Funcy belt keep sticking and sticking, over and over again. Some plain white abdominal binders I purchased before, were completely useless after 2 weeks. They had sucky, cheapy, weak fasteners that puked almost right away. Not with this Funcy belt. The Velcro closures last and last. The Funcy Abdominal Binder even comes in 4 different sizes, to accommodate waistlines anywhere between 26.7" through 57 inches. The width of this belt is 10.6 inches. Although I wish it wasn't quite so wide (covers my entire abdomen from top to bottom), I am still very pleased with this belt for all of it's good qualities. Even though this belt is marketed to help with back pain, it needs to be mentioned that a person should NEVER wear this, or any belt, excessively. You will ruin your back if you do. Your back muscles will come to depend on you wearing the belt to support them all the time. Then the muscles basically give up. When you finally stop wearing a belt, you will experience back pain a lot, even if you have never had back issues before in your life. I speak from personal experience. Now I rotate between different belts, and never wear any belt while in bed, to avoid back problems. I highly recommend this Funcy Abdominal Binder Belt for it's quality and for how it works as it should.

I purchased this abdominal binder because I have G and J tubes and wanted to conceal them under my clothing. Unfortunately, this waist binder is unnecessarily bulky for this purpose. I've used others in the past that work much better because they are not as wide width but this one does have the added benefit of being more supportive. If you are looking at this for a minor back brace or soft tissue stabilizer then this is a good brace but if you're looking for it to conceal well under clothing, this is not the binder for you. Also critical to note is that the Velcro closure is very difficult to adjust once on your body to make it lay flat.

I ordered this for postpartum uses and feel that it definitely fits on the small size. Even though I should have fit a large easily it was a tight squeeze. It is otherwise very sturdy and stays closed even when very tight. I would recommend ordering larger if you measure on the higher end of the sizing range.

I got this for my wife for her abdominal hernia caused from multiple C-sections. She reports that fit is as expected around the circumference and that the material is soft against her skin, making it fairly comfortable to wear for longer periods in that regard. However, the binder is a bit tall (hips to bust) for her torso length (she is an average height of 5'6") and requires her to wear it a bit lower on her hips than she would prefer. Overall, this is good product that does its job in relative comfort, though body shape and size will greatly affect its function.

This is true to size. I would look at the chart and buy your intended size. I used this when my back was hurting me and I felt it helped so much. It stayed put through all my activities and helped me with my posture. However, the material they used is very hot. This is ideal for the cooler months.
