Don’t believe the pictures that show the multiple layers of foam on top of the coils. The springs are the full thickness of the mattress. There was no expanding in height when it was opened at all. The springs can be felt thru the side and across the top. The sides compress down nearly half way when I sit on it. I’m 170 lbs at most, it shouldn’t compress that far. Be careful when opening it. With those springs being compressed that much during shipping, it unrolls in a snap once that last bit of plastic wrap is cut. Sleeping on it, it’s definitely more on the firmer side and feels like a spring mattress. No foam there to sink in to a bit, feels bouncy when movement happens. Overall, maybe an option as a spare bedroom for occasional company, but not an every night primary mattress.

This mattress arrived well packed and was easy to set up by myself. After letting it sit for about 72 hours, it reached the full 12-inch height. The support is good for everyday use, and I don’t feel like I sink too much in the middle. Motion transfer is minimal, which helps since I tend to move around at night. For a full-size bed, this is a comfortable and practical choice.
