3.5 Stars. I chose this mattress for the lake house. We have several guest mattresses we stack in a room when we have extra extra guests. Over the years, some have gotten very worse for wear. This full from Vellvyx is better than the mattress it is replacing. The quality of the mattress is medium. I am not overly impressed for the price point with the softness and the way I can feel the springs. Adding a 2” topper - it feels better. In my mind this means that the manufacturer should have added more padding above the springs. This mattress is marketed as a hybrid, which to me is a mattress that is a foam mattress with springs to bring the foam back up more quickly. Instead, it feels more like an innerspring mattress with a bit of a foam topper. The foam top is about 2” above the springs. I don’t plan to use this for an every night mattress. When opening the mattress, I was pleased to find that it didn’t have a strong smell. After 3 days ( 72 hours ) it still looks smashed to me - I am not expecting it to change much since it has been about a week now since I opened it. There is no country of origin on the listing or on the box from the manufacturer. The same photo is used in multiple mattress listings doing an image search. In my opinion, this mattress seems to me to be marketed under several different brands. The listing bullet points at the time of this review are a bit confusing to me. This full-size memory foam mattress is very comfortable and true to size. It fluffed up quickly—my photos were taken about 30 minutes after opening, and it was already nearly fully expanded. It has a nice thickness and feels soft when you lay on it, but still provides good support so you don’t sink in too much. The quality feels great overall and it seems very well made. The media could not be loaded. I wasn't sure what I was going to get for this price but I needed to replace an old hard mattress in our guest room. When it arrived the box was pretty damaged but inside everything was fine. Compressed for shipping and outer plastic was high quality. Immediately started to fill with air when we started taking off the plastic. Smell was not terrible and dissipated very quickly. We left it in the garage for two days before taking it upstairs to the guest room. Springs are on the bottom side of the mattress with a light 2" foam topper so it cannot be flipped. Mattress is definitely cheap(er). It's bouncy getting in and not much side support sitting on it. It's ok once you are on it to sleep. Maybe for a smaller adult or child, but I don't think two adults would love it to sleep on regularly. Overall it is adequate and we like that it is non toxic and seemingly from a reputable source and certification. CertiPUR vellvyx. Would say the actual value more like $150. ... show more
