Pre-back surgery addition to my queen bed. I couldn't get out of the bed and was sleeping on the couch. My daughter took the mattress off the bed and removed all the wood slats that hold the mattress. She opened the box, which was large. She put the unit together and had a friend help to lift it over the bed and placed it inside the bed frame. She plugged it in and got it ready for the mattress. They lifted the mattress over onto the adjustable unit. The remote is easy to use and NO problems from the get go. Hint: if you struggle with making the bed....put the top of the bed in the highest up position and toss the sheet over and simply put the mattress back in the down position. Also, if you have trouble getting out of bed, put the top of the bed up and use your hand against the mattress and push yourself up and swing your legs over the edge. I was Very impressed with my daughter's ability to tackle this project. ... show more

I was looking for one of these for a while now. Once i came across this unit and for the reviews and the price, done deal. Was skeptical at first until it arrived and unboxed it. It came delivered Fed-Ex to my front porch in 2 days and upon getting it upstairs, setting it up and sleeping in it that night, what a game changer. Slept at whatever configuration my heart desired instead of just a flat boring bed. Note: This thing is HEAVY ! DUTY, remote control straightforward and lights up as you touch a button, and the coolest function which i though i'd never use was the under frame ambiance light, it is a warm temp light that eminates from and stays floorbound. UsB ports are on the right side if you were looking at the bed from the rear, and quiet smooth motors operation,no control over the speed tho, but seems proper. the legs are independently adjustable to up to 13'" ....Very high quality. I worked in the furniture industry for ten years . These bases are WAY overpriced in the stores. This base is SIMPLE to assemble, very quiet, smooth operating. For the money there is no reason not to own one. Only gripe is there is only one USB plug on one side of the bed for phone charging. But I didn’t buy it to charge my phone!!!! ... show more
