With new Fast Startup mode enabled, the iX1500 is ready to scan as soon as the lid is opened. A gently rounded feeding chute helps prevent paper from curling over, reducing misfeeds. With 30 sheets per minute speed and a document feeder that holds up to 50 sheets of standard office paper, so you can scan more pages even faster without splitting up large documents.     • Absolute must for receipts and small business files!
This machine is perfect. I am a small business owner, and talk about a MANDATORY tool. I bought the S1300 first, way too slow for my needs. You can stick 40 sheets of paper in this thing and it zips through them flawlessly. We have rid ourselves of 5 huge file cabinets and went completely digital storing on the hard drive and backed up to Google Drive with a SSD hard drive back up as well. Soooo much easier to find files this way. These are just perks of this machine. I have fought envelopes of receipts for years. They never seem to go away and have of them get lost. This thing will scan 3-5 receipts at a time FAST and on receipt function it saves it with the vendor and the date. We have a file for each employee saved with the month and year. Talk about a life saver. The final thing I will say is about the display on the scanner, very nice feature so you don’t have to get into the computer to go from files to receipts etc. This thing has paid for itself as far as I am concerned and allowed us to get so much more simplified. ... show more

    • The Best Scanner That I Have Used
I have spent a lot of money on different brands of scanners, including other models made by Fujitsu. I started scanning several years ago using a Neat Scanner and I thought at the time that it was the cream of the crop. I used the Neat Scanner for several years until I moved to a new manufacturing plant, in which I decided to try a Fujitsu iX500. This scanner was way better than the Neat Scanner and had parts that were replaceable, which I enjoyed. When I moved manufacturing plants again, I went to buy another iX500, but they were unfortunately discontinued. I was a bit apprehensive with purchasing the iX1500, but decided to take my chances. It works so great that I decided to buy a personal one for my house. The only downside is that the iX1500 is touch screen. I haven't had any issues because of the touch screen, but I did like the push buttons of the iX500. If given the chance, I would purchase a iX500 over an iX1500, but I would never go back to a Neat Scanner. If you have a lot of documents to scan for work or home, I would recommend getting one of these. It can definitely help clean up the clutter. ... show more

    • Best purchase for my office in years
I manage a surgical practice, and we needed to convert many years worth of paper patient charts to digital medical records for long term storage. We bought this scanner on recommendation from another physician's office who had done the same thing. So glad we did! This little machine is a speedy workhorse! It is lightning fast, detects and notifies of any errors (not many because it is so efficient), allows for reorganization and reorientation of pages, and so much more. We budgeted a month's time to get through the first batch of records and finished in ten days! My staff is happy to have such great equipment for a fairly boring task, and this machine has even made it fun. It has a very small footprint and doesn't take up much room at all. We highly recommend it to anyone who has large scanning jobs to do or is just simply pressed for time. Excellent product. ... show more

    • A Workhorse!
I bought this ScanSnap scanner to replace an earlier S510 scanner that I had had for years. Like the first scanner, this one is a workhorse! Rare paper jams. Good selection of quality levels, where "Normal" produces clear images more than sufficient for document scanning. This new model is faster, holds a bit more paper, is quiet and efficient. Installation was a breeze and the scanner was set up within minutes. I just don't think that there are better scanners on the market, especially for home and home-office use, than those made by Fujitsu! ... show more

    • Amazing scanner
I LOVE this thing. So good, clear, and easy to use. Set up is a little tricky, so I had my computer savvy husband help. Having the techie in your life nearby would be good for set up on this one, but after that, it's easy and, honestly, amazing at speed and clarity.

    • Terrible scanner!!! Please save your headaches and do not buy this garbage!!!
This scanner is a total joke. No matter what you try to do with it, it does not work. ABSOLUTELY every step of the installation process was a huge headache and after two hours attempting to set it up, the thing does not work. Tried to set up the folder where my files should be saved, it attempts to automatically move all my files to some other location and I have no idea why it is doing that. I have about 150,000 files that it has been trying to move just because I wanted to set up the default folder somewhere else. Then I tried to scan and just manually move the files (which requires several additional clicks) and the thing gives me error every single time. Tried to update the firmware, the thing tells me that my scanner is connected to some other computer which it is not. I mean, come one, why would somebody make a product that is totally unsuitable for the very purpose it was made for? ... show more

    • It's the Scan Organizer that fails
Love this scanner it is truly the best - but with the new one they changed the scan organizer and I used to be able to add pages in by opening the scan and it asking where to place the page. This one doesn't do that. Also it no longer cuts and moves, you have to copy everything. So scanner great, organizer meh. ... show more

Cureently deploying these on the office and these are a breeze to set up. First tons of options, scan to folder, emails, receipts etc. Setup takes a couple of mins but firmware update does take around 10 to 15 mins. Touch screen is responsive and pc interface is simple and intuitive. High dpi makes some really nice pdf. In general bery very good scanners. ... show more
