Description

This vertical battery grip for the FUJIFILM X-H2S accepts two additional NP-W235 rechargeable lithium-ion batteries to provide additional functionality in vertical orientation, while also extending performance and battery life for up to 1700 frames between recharges. This weather resistant grip also incorporates a secondary shutter release button, focus lever, AE-L button, AF- ON button, Q button, Fn Button, front and rear command dials, and a toggle switch for eco, normal, and boost performance modes.

It is a great battery grip. The only recommendation is to make sure to swap batteries in the grip like the tires in your car. The grip always stars burning one battery at a time, so your grip’s left battery always gets used first.

    • Not as well built as the XH1 VG
The XH2 VG is much lighter than the previous version for the XH1. The battery door latch is not spring loaded like the previous version. The tray for storing the body contact cover in the previous version was also excluded from this version. XH2 does not have dials or click wheels like the XH1 and does not feel as well built. The VG continues with the cheaper, lower build quality feel. At 50% off retail I guess its worth it but I'm very glad I didn't get it at full retail when I got the camera body. ... show more

When I first got this, I loved it. I've always used a battery grip with all my Fuji cameras. Initially, this worked perfectly. During the last two weeks, however, it causes my camera to lock up. I can see a photo on the screen, but I can't get rid of it, press the shutter button, NOTHING. I can't even turn the camera off. The only thing that fixes it is to remove the grip and then put it back on. After a while, it will lock up again. I am beyond the 30 day return for Amazon, so I guess I'm stuck with it. I've researched this problem, and it seems I'm not the only one having issues. Some people have no problem at all. So now I have a $400 paperweight. I am pissed. UPDATE: I have sent it to Fuji for repair. It is covered under warranty, but I won't get it back for another 2 weeks. This really sucks. ... show more

Perfect ergonomics and way extends X-H2 battery life. As a pro photographer and former guild member of 50 years, I highly recommend this grip.
