I bought the size small for my 6 month old, 10 lb.-13 in. tall Cockapoo puppy, I measured him like they said to and so glad I didn’t wing it or just eyeball it and just order what I thought might work. I was also impressed at how fast it was delivered to me after I ordered it, he was neutered and microchipped and I needed this cute body suit, soft neck donut, belly bands and diapers to keep him calm and to keep him from licking his incision site, this suit fits him snugly even with his doggy diaper on him, it looks comfortable on him, it seems to be well made. I wish I could get better photos but he is in pain and I am going to let him rest. I do recommend this suit and will buy from this company again when my 10 week old boxer puppy is old enough to be neutered and microchipped. This suit helped my dog through recovery! He had a tumor removed from his stomach area. He did not do well with a cone! Absolutely hated it!! This made all the difference for him! I really think it depends on the dog, I had another dog that would have probably tried to rip the fabric, but my guy licked a little but mostly just left it alone. I really think it depends on dog! I have a mini Aussie, due to her body length I purchased a large. I purchased this because she was spayed, she weighs about 25 lbs, but a very long body as you can tell from the pictures. The length is great, however the neck and legs are loose and large, the next stretches out a lot. But I really like about this is the velcro, easy on easy off as compared to the one I tried was snaps. The velcro allowed me to get it tight enough around her that she was unable to lick her stitches. When it was time to party it was a quick and easy to just pull it over her tail and wrap the velcro around her neck. I know the picture show that you can roll it up in velcro it under the flap on top, but that took more time. Regarding warmth, it is t-shirt fabric so for warm days it was light enough that she didn't get overheated. As far as value, it was worth the money I paid for it as it allowed me to remove her cone well I was keeping an eye on her. Not sure I would recommend removing the cone even with the suit overnight if you have a hyperactive dog? It did seem to have a calming effect on her, although she was also on calming meds, I think the tightness of the fit helped her feel more secure. ... show more

This was perfect for my pup when he was recovering from his neuter surgery. It was much better than him having to wear a cone. He slept comfortable and it was very easy to take on and off when he had to go to the bathroom, machine washable, cute, and overall helpful in his healing process.

XS is a perfect onesie for a 6 lb Yorkie. She had surgery on both her back and her stomach and this protected both sites. Cones are so awful and this eliminates need for them. Soft fabric. Smooth edges. Ez to secure back for potty trips. Good price. I bought two and rotate use.

Material is a cotton knit so it WILL shrink when washed. Of course, it is also a very thin fabric, so tears easily. Good or bad (?) there is a small amount of spandex, so it does provide a little compression on the post-op site. Perhaps limits motion slightly so post-op dog is not running around like crazy. I didn't check to see if all the brands are made of cotton. My dog managed to tear a hole in the side on the first day of wearing it. (NOT because she chewed on it). I got the correct size according to the measurement chart given online, but it was a tight fit!! I suggest that you get at least one size bigger (especially since it will shrink). The suit is being used for my 11lb dog who has surgery. So far it good. Its feels like cotton and dog has no issue except the sound of velcro. The velcro is strong. it looks like little PJ's my dog so very cut also. I would say material like thickness and feel of a tee-shirt.

I absolutely loved the product at first and it is so smartly made, good fabric, absolutely so adorable, and an incredible alternative to the cone for sure. I even bought a second one after putting the first one on my dog for the first time. It was a dream the first few days and the Velcro was basically impossible to remove so I knew my dog wasn’t going to be able to remove the suit. But after about day 5, I noticed that the Velcro was losing some bonding power but it still held the suit together. Now it’s been about 10 days and I’m holding the suit together with safety pins because the Velcro is basically there for decoration at this point. Again, this product is incredible and I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a solid replacement for the cone. Maybe I just got some suits that were defective, but the Velcro not holding up has been making it easier for my pup to try and remove the suit any chance he gets. ... show more
