It works!!! I have a couple windows that don't close properly and would let cold air in. This winter I tried this and it works!!! It's easy to put on. Just take your time. It's almost like working with shrink wrap so don't rush. And if you have a window AC, take it out. Or you'll have to do what I did and do another section around the AC unit. But that's minor. It works. Keeps out the cold air. It's cheaper than replacing windows 😊

I've used Frost King for years. When I get the plastic on the tape correctly, the warm hair dryer shrinks as the directions indicate, leaving a reasonably clear view out windows. The plastic helps keep cold air out and is sturdy enough that it doesn't tear when working with it to attach it to the tape, on occasion, I've had to pull it off the tape to get rid of a wrinkle and it doesn't tear.

The foremost reason for this: insulation. I had this on my window for almost a year and it kept the weeping water on the inside. The install was simple - you put the adhesive tape around the border of the window and then stick the plastic sheet to the tape. The tape adhered well. Highly recommend you clean the area to be used first; dry and make sure no soap or residue is left behind. It looks slightly tacky, but I kept curtains over it. I did my install OVER the blinds to not see it from the outside. The room draft was fixed, but my blinds were unusable haha.

It seemed thin, but I purchased an air conditioner, and air comes through the vents. I used this and all drafts are gone, keeping them behind the plastic. A great product indeed, east to install. This is an affordable and effective way to improve window insulation during the winter. The kit includes four clear sheets of shrink film, double-sided tape, and easy-to-follow instructions. It helps reduce drafts and increase warmth by sealing gaps around windows. The application process is simple, using a hairdryer to shrink the film tightly. Works great to keep the cold out. Went up easily with one person. This was a concern but worked great. Easily trimmed off excess with scissors. Fits the entire slider doors perfectly. I am pleased and will buy again next year when needed

They idea is good, but it has a major problem. The problem is the two-sides strip of tape needed to attach the plastic to the window. It is nearly impossible to peel off the back of the tape in order to attach the plastic. I tried for over an hour to separate the cover of of the adhesive so that I could attach the plastic and apply the heat from my hair blow dryer. It is easy to attach the sticky side of the tape to the window frame, especially once you clean the frame with alcohol. However, it is extremely difficult to peel the other side off. The manufacturer should have thought of a way to make that easy because otherwise it is a waste of time and money. I ended up securing the plastic to the window frame with duct tape.

My house is old and the HVAC system doesn’t circulate much air to two of the bedrooms, leaving them much colder than the rest of the house. Before installing the film on the window, you would feel the cold air hit you as soon as you opened the door to the room, the temperature difference was that drastic. After installing the film on the windows, the rooms feel like the rest of the house. Will definitely buy again next winter.
