  • Nothing wrong with the part, but make sure it actually fits your compressor
This tube seal is close, but not identical, to those used on some Porter Cable pancake compressor clones. It was slightly large on the bottom (the long flat side) for replacing the otherwise identical tube seal on a Craftsman version of the PC compressor. Because of this, the pump head could not seat properly. Bear in mind, you will likely also have to replace the head gasket as well, so be prepared for that too. The existing head gasket did not survive disassembly and had to be replaced as well. I ended up replacing the air compressor in the end, rather than sink more into attempting to repair. I assume it is a 1:1 replacement for PC or Dewalt, but not other clones. ... show more

  • They fit perfectly
Looks like an OEM part. Fits perfectly

  • Stopped the leak!
I have a small pancake compressor that was making a hissing noise within the plastic casing around the motor. I did some research on YouTube and found many people focusing on this tube seal as the culprit. After researching, it seemed likely this was my issue. The "fun" part was taking apart the compressor casing to get to where this tube seal goes. I took pics of the progress so that I could get it back together once I was done and that was helpful because I felt I was going down a rabbbit hole to get to the old tube seal. But, with persistance and help from YouTube videos of other people doing the same on similar pancake compressors, I was able to replace and test and the leak was gone! I was shocked after the "operation" but it paid off. SUMMARY - PROS: * Inexpensive part * Do-It-Yourself repair CONS: * Difficult to get back to gether once the tube seal was replaced but I'm also inexperienced in this area. Pics helped. * This may not be your issue. It would suck to get all the way through with this replacement and still hear the leak. Hope that isn't you! ... show more

  • Restored my compressors to working order
It fixed my two 25 year old compressors, a 6 gal pancake Porter Cable and a upright 15 gal Craftsman. Neither would pump up to full shutoff pressure and now they do. The old broken seals were orange. The new seals fit tight and when you torque the head down on them makes a good seal. Both compressor's regulators were also leaking. After taking them apart, cleaning and putting new lube on the seals, the compressors work like new without anymore air leaks. Not bad for the cost of these two seals. ... show more

  • Stopped my leak
Same as above, stopped my leak on the high pressure line.

  • Worked great
You will probably have to look at YouTube to see how to get the cover off of the compressor motor but once you do and install the seal it works great

  • What you need when you need it
It fits and it works. I brought a 20 year old compressor back to life. The old seal baked into brittle shards. I tried some homemade fixes before buying this, but they didn't last. It's a shame these little guys are so spendy for such a small, simple thing, but they do live in a pretty harsh environment, with all the heat generated right there on the tubing. I couldn't stand buying just one when I could get two for about a buck more. Now I have a spare for that day twenty years from now when the next one fails. ... show more

  • Keep the spare somewhere safe
Worked to get top end pressure from 110 to 150 psi. Figuring out where to stash the 2nd seal for future use.
