It's got a great soft glow and a brighter mode. It automatically cam time itself off after I think 20 minutes. So much nicer that turning on an overhead light when winding down for the night. Yup, I'm a full grown adult using this almost daily but bought it for travel because some light switches can be in weird spots. I also don't like having sometimes to talk to Alexa or Google to get light, so I tap on this instead. My only negative which is why there is four stars is if you bump the table it's on it can sometimes turn itself on. It's pretty sensitive. So it could use up the battery faster that way. But I've had it out for a month with intermittent use and still haven't had to charge it. I love being able to tap his little head to turn it on or off.
