I have a new softub Portico. At first I used the powdered chemicals that came with the starter kit. It was a royal pain. I would check daily, make adjustments, etc. It was very difficult to get the water clear. So I bought a bunch of additional products (filter cleaner, water cleaners, non-chlorine shocks, etc) and it did not restore the water to clear. And I had to really focus daily on tweaking the chlorine and pH levels. It was a pain. I don't work for Frog @ Ease, but I will tell you that once we switched to that product, most everything was solved. I test the pH once or twice a week and make adjustments. Our water became clear after 1 day of use. I spend 90% less time chasing my chemical levels. I'm not even sure if I need to non-chlorine shock anymore though I probably will. I clean my filter probably every 2 weeks. The other thing about Frog @ Ease is that the water is much less chlorinated. My skin is not dry and itchy. The water seems softer and silkier. I sound like a commercial. But I have to say, the product has exceeded my expectations. I wish it were cheaper. But I save so much time, I don't care. And the experience in the tub is better. We are going to drop off the used pods at a local Frog dealer and apparently they are made into plastic furniture.

I love the consistency and ease of this product! It perfectly balances the water and easily shows you when it’s time to change the cartridge. A total no fail! With life always so full of busyness having a spa is great, but not if it costs you even more work in the end... this product solves that problem. Follow the instructions to get your water right and then just check it regularly. I’m hooked. I’ll never go back to the old way of keeping your spa water, healthy again.

This makes keeping your hot tub clean so easy. Just open and drop in. It lets you know when you need to refill it. The chemicals are less harsh than what we were using before and the water looks and smells better.

5 star usability. The ease of use of this system made the difference between hating and loving our hot tub. We have used for 7 years now. It’s fantastic. Only complaint is I would prefer a different smell. It’s not bad, nor strong, I’m just picky about smells. Family and guests don’t even notice it.

Love the frog system. The thing with the FROG, is it is a system all on its own, which I did not know at first. You don't need any other chlorine or shocks. The FROG support number is great too!! Basically, I change the silver half of the ball once a month for my 600-gallon hot tub and change the blue side of the ball every four months. The directions say to dial the silver half to a 4 based on my gallons but once my hot tub was balanced, I have it on a 2 and it keeps the CL levels perfect. I shock the tub with the frog CL shock when I change the blue half of the ball. About every two weeks, I throw in the sanitizer. Only other chemical I need is PH up. Frog system makes keeping the hot tub balanced an easy task!

Have not taken the plunge to change over to Frog. I thought I could use this while gone for 10 days. It does not work like that. Frog can only be used after a full water drain and fresh fill / conversion to Frog System. It is a ‘set it and forget it’ system from what I understand. It uses its own Chemicals. If you want to make the switch, buy this system. If you’re on the fence, or not ready to change because you currently use chlorine granules or Bromine, then don’t buy the Frog. If your ready, I hear very good things about it’s ease of use, I also hear it’s a bit expensive and needs replaced approximately every 3 weeks.
