I did not think this would be good, but I wanted ice (nugget ice specifically) that dispensed, and I wanted it right away. We have a KBICE machine and it works great, but it's older, bulkier and more annoying to fill (but I still like it). This one fills a little slow, but it does not bother me. Leaked right out of the box. Reset the drain plug tubing and ran a smaller amount of water just in case the pressure was too much to avoid a massive leak. Did not work. Drain plug is not the issue. The issue is the valve on the inside of the reservoir to the machine. Do not waste your money. When we did get ice it wasn’t bad. Luckily it wasn’t that expensive compared to others, but this thing is trash. ... show more

I’ve had the previous model, which I loved. The downfall of that one was the cleaning did not clean well enough to prevent mold, you also could not see the inside which concerned me and the machine itself was loud and squeaked high pitch sound’s even when cleaned thoroughly as communicated by the manufacturer. This one does not have any of these problems however I feel the ice takes longer and because the ice itself is smaller, it melts in your drinks faster. If you are looking for an ice machine for 1-2 people then this would be perfect. The machine itself continues to keep the ice from melting which is a huge win in my opinion. I love this ice machine. It's really quite and the ice is soft to chew. Easy to clean. Great size for over the counter appliance. Also love the fact that the water reservoir is in the front easy access. Makes ice really quick enough for two 20 oz drinks at a time. Great for a small family.

I have probably owned over six nugget ice machines. This one I have put upstairs in my bedroom. The things that I don’t like about it is that most of my water cups are very large and I have to use a smaller cup for the dispenser part. So I just keep a cup there for the dispenser. You do have to push the button to get it to start and then push the button to get it to stop. Sometimes extra ice does come out so make sure you wait until it’s finished to move the cup. Also, the lights underneath stay on all the time. I would prefer the option to turn them off. The ice itself is fine. The reservoir tank for the water is adequate. It is very quiet.
