It's super easy to find a knock-off of these, but most of the time they are frustrating or don't fit. It is so much easier to just get the correct kind of replacement for the water filter the first time. Easy to install - took 2 minutes. The exact model for my fridge.

This was the first filter that I had to replace because the refrigerator was new in August. It was very easy to install, but it just kept leaking. I removed it numerous times, watched videos, called the company, and I could think of nothing else to do, but try and order another one, as perhaps it was simply a faulty filter. Once I re-replaced it with another filter this one is not leaking at all so my advice if anyone is in that situation is to just replace it. Second one working just fine! ... show more

This filter is rated to last 6 months but we have to regularly change it around 4 to 5 months due to our water being a bit dirtier than a standard water source. I feel that the water is cleaner to drink because of the filter and save lots of money not buying bottled water.
