This chest freezer gives me all the space I needed for leftovers, stocking up on meats and frozen meals to save money, and have frozen water bottles at my disposal for frequent hurricanes when we anticipate losing power here in FL. My order came quickly, but was damaged (back corner dented). Most likely in transit from forklift. I must say, I contacted the merchant, Frugal Buys CA LLC, and they answered SAME DAY, and shipped me a new one. FedEx came to pick up the damaged unit, and I received a new unit very soon after. Frugal Buys CA LLC kept in close contact with me during the entire process. If it hadn't been for them, their professionalism, and their quick solution, I would have cancelled and went to Home Depot, but paid more money. The unit is quiet, very efficient, is very deep, and has a wire basket. As I researched other brands and was surprised how many products come with plastic baskets. The black unit was an added perk! Unlike my refrigerator/freezer, my Electromagnetic Radiation Meter does not budge when I open this freezer. Runs without noise. Frost level is minimum. Shelf & basket make it easier to arrange & reach items. Time spent researching this product with the help of AI was well spent.

    • Really quiet and works well

This is a very nice freezer and it’s a very nice size. The freezer itself is light, so it’s easy to move into place. It is very quiet running and in fact, we temporarily had it in a bedroom and it didn’t bother us at all . Keeps the items frozen well, and we installed baskets in it.

    • Worst customer support I’ve ever experience in my life.

So far, I’ve kept this freezer in a room kept at 75 degrees and haven’t opened the door after initially loading it (it’s been about 5 days now. It runs for 8 minutes (give or take a minute), then is quiet for 13 minutes (give or take a minute). This seems like a lot to me, but I’ve never had a chest freezer before so I reached out to Frigidaire for help. They routed me to Curtis International who opened a support ticket and called me back a couple days later. My question to this Curtis representative was “how frequently should my freezer be running in a room kept at 75 degrees?”… they informed me that the freezer is garage ready. I rephrased my very clear question and was informed that the freezer should be able to keep things cool when stored in 0-100 degree weather. I tried to rephrase my question and very clearly state that the freezer is functioning, but I’m trying to find out how frequently it should be running… I got more generic information about the freezer. I went back to Frigidaire hoping they could put me in the ballpark, but this time they weren’t even interested in the question and simply insisted that I can get the info from Curtis International. In the end, I had the thought “I can’t wait until AI takes over these jobs” and then realized, I have access to Copilot which has been pretty helpful (though not 100% reliable). So I asked copilot, and it seems that this runtime is normal, but I’m still giving 1 star because of the horrendous customer service. It’s been a month or so now and I wanted to add that this thing builds up frost really fast. I hardly ever open it, but there’s already a significant frost layer near the top. ... show more
