Ok, I have been wanting to get a tow strap for my son for a long time. He is 5 and has been riding since he was 3 (pedals) balance bike before that. I looked at the competitors and there price was rather high, so I took a chance on this one. We used it last weekend on a rolling mtn bike trail. Overall impression: Super awesome, comes with a light carabiner, and quick connect cord. Other companies charge you for these, you can easily buy them on your own and save money; however they were included. It took some practice to get use to for both of us but it is elastic and that is helpful in so many ways. We didn't use it for every hill but for the big one's it was awesome and it made him so happy that he didn't have to push his bike up the hill. For the price point and the fact it does exactly what the more expensive ones do, this is worth it. I highly recommend and wish I had purchased it sooner.

The media could not be loaded. Just received the tow rope for MTB rides just in case my kids can’t crest the steeps. Don’t need it most of the time so I chose this one for decent reviews and cheap price. Well, it appears well constructed and comes with all the necessary parts. However, there are no instructions at all; not even a diagram. The stem tether comes untied and I’ve surmised which end goes where.

This tow rope seems to be put together well. It works as described. I looped one end around my rear bike rack and tied the other end with the supplied cord to my daughters bike which has training wheels. Please be aware that your child needs to be strong and skilled enough to steer their bike and stay behind you. They also need to be able to brake well or they will run into you or worse. I recommend going very slow at first. I took off one star because a loose thread started to unravel it.
