I got this for my recent abdominoplasty with muscle repair and liposuction. Though this is REALLY a nice binder, it isn’t tall enough on its own to reach from under the breastbone all the way down to below the abdominal incision. Thankfully I have a second, more narrow binder that I can wear in conjunction with this to cover the entire area, but I just want users who might be looking at this for that purpose to know this may not be the right binder for the immediate post operative period. That said, this will also be a great binder for me when I am traveling several weeks post op and just want some additional abdominal sho it don’t necessarily need top-to-bottom coverage. This will work well in addition to compression garments to provide that additional temporary support. Now - it’s actually advertised as a post partum binder and for that I’m sure it will be perfect. The binder is soft and flexible while also being firm and supportive if that makes sense. It’s very well made and doesn’t rely on boning for support which often ends up poking through the material. In addition to the more than adequate Velcro closure on the ends of the binder, there are also two adjustable straps coming off the back that you can use to make it even tighter or looser depending on your needs. You can also secure them at any place on the binder which allows you to target specific areas for additional compression. This also allowed me to AVOID areas like my drain insertion sites where I did not want to have any additional compression. I was unable to put my binder on by myself until post op day 4. After that, I was very easily able to apply and adjust this myself very easily. I have put this through the wash a few times already (the pics are from when it had just come out of the washer, in fact) . I have been washing It In cook water, making sure the Velcro is secure before putting it into the washing machine. Then I hang to dry. It seems more than strong enough to handle the actual dryer an even washing on hot, but I don’t want to do anything that might break down the elastic and since this washing method is working for me and it doesn’t get dirty or smelly, I’m going to keep doing it this way. This is a really good value and I’m glad I have it in my post-operative care arsenal.

I own several of these belts and I wasn't happy with this one at all, as soon as I took it out of the package I could tell the material felt cheap and thin. When it was on me the material just folded and bent with no rigidity or support at all. The enclosure was even odd, and trying to line it up to secure it was cumbersome. And as I was adjusting it trying to get it to fit properly it was causing me to sweat which would be terrible in the warmer weather, the material is not porous or breathable at all. I had high hopes for this as it looked good in the photos but the design and quality just aren't good enough to justify wearing it.

I like this abdominal support belt. I have tried several others, but they were all very uncomfortable and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. However, this one is different. Its size fits perfectly and can completely cover the abdominal area. It is very convenient to use and I can put it on by myself without the need for assistance from others. Its most prominent advantage is that it provides stable support, giving me a sense of security that everything is firmly fixed. It can tightly wrap my body but won't make me feel short of breath. It won't slide. I wear it for several hours every day. Even with this support belt, I can finally have a good sleep. I also wear it when going out for business. I can even wear it inside my jeans, and it neither looks nor feels bulky. This is perfect. After putting it on, my sitting posture has improved!
