I purchased the Freebot because I work remotely and was going on a camping trip. The campground advertised wifi, but I was suspicious. Sure enough, the wifi here sucks. I've been using the Freebot for a few days now & it's been great. It takes a minute or two to find a good signal, I connect to it from my device & I'm up & running. You don't need anything else, no separate data purchases, no SIM cards, just charge the Freebot & turn it on. It did come with 10 gigs of data preloaded. I haven't had to purchase more yet, but the app makes it look pretty simple & painless. The only issue I had was my IP address when using the Freebot. It shows it originating from Hong Kong. Some of the sites I use for my business blocked me due to this. The simple fix was to purchase a VPN for $30/year, no big deal. I'd definitely recommend the Freebot for anyone who wants to make sure they have data wherever they go.

As long as there’s not an outage on the nearby tower, this works great! Super easy to use and connect multiple devices. I would recommend keeping it charged as much as possible as the more devices you have connected, the quicker the battery drains. Small in size and convenient for carrying in your pocket or bag if need be. App is easy enough to purchase more data and there is a price point for everyone. It is instantly added to your data so you can continue streaming.

I don't travel much, and have not got a whole lot of experience with these kinds of things, but I can say that this hotspot did the job wonderfully, and problem free. Getting started was as simple as can be, with no complicated steps of processes needed. It comes preloaded with most of the work already done for you. The battery life is as good as you can ask for, and you shouldn't have any trouble getting a full day's worth of use out of it before needing to recharge it. It's easy to carry around, without being bulky or cumbersome, and the speed should be enough for most things you would want to do while traveling. Video calls were no issue, and streaming videos was not a problem. I would say the price is pretty on point for what you should expect for such a well functioning portable hot spot, and in my own opinion is well worth it.

I got a speed test result of 10mbps using my phone connected to this hotspot, but my phone connected directly to 5g was able to achieve 1000mbps. I have no way of knowing if 4G in my area is somehow handicapped or not supported very well these days, but not to my knowledge. And 10mb is not a good speed. This has the advanatage of being considerably less than a 5g access point, so if cost is the overriding factor then this does work. Doing a little spot check of esim prices, Freebot is competitive and make it easy to add data for many different countries. If you are quite sure how to get your own esim and install it then this does make that process easy and pricing is as good as anyone it seems.
