    • Great Device
Model: 5GB Global (90 Days)
Review Image by Michelle A.
I purchased the Freebot because I work remotely and was going on a camping trip. The campground advertised wifi, but I was suspicious. Sure enough, the wifi here sucks. I've been using the Freebot for a few days now & it's been great. It takes a minute or two to find a good signal, I connect to it from my device & I'm up & running. You don't need anything else, no separate data purchases, no SIM cards, just charge the Freebot & turn it on. It did come with 10 gigs of data preloaded. I haven't had to purchase more yet, but the app makes it look pretty simple & painless. The only issue I had was my IP address when using the Freebot. It shows it originating from Hong Kong. Some of the sites I use for my business blocked me due to this. The simple fix was to purchase a VPN for $30/year, no big deal. I'd definitely recommend the Freebot for anyone who wants to make sure they have data wherever they go. ... show more

    • works great, very helpful
Model: 5GB Global (90 Days)
Works great. A true solution for when I need to turn off the router/modem at night, but others in my household still need an Internet connection. Also, my family members have used it while traveling and found that it works fine.

    • Worked as hoped it would.
Model: 5GB Global (90 Days)
As long as there’s not an outage on the nearby tower, this works great! Super easy to use and connect multiple devices. I would recommend keeping it charged as much as possible as the more devices you have connected, the quicker the battery drains. Small in size and convenient for carrying in your pocket or bag if need be. App is easy enough to purchase more data and there is a price point for everyone. It is instantly added to your data so you can continue streaming. ... show more

    • Good to have as a backup you will have to purchase data
Model: 5GB Global (90 Days)
I had no idea something like this mobile hotspot router existed. It is plug-and-play and super easy to set up. I like that it has a touch screen. You can install a SIM card if you wish, but it is not required. You do not have to provide your personal information to activate and use the device. You really can get the internet anywhere in the world without a SIM card. You do have to download the FREEBOT APP in order to activate the device and use it outside the USA. You receive 1 GB a month of free data for the first year. You are able to connect to the internet in your local area and internationally when traveling. I live in the US, and it is all already prepaid for local US data. You will need to download the FREEBOT APP if you travel outside the US. It works, but the battery life is short, so it needs to be charged after each use, and if you connect another device, the battery runs down faster. You will eventually need to buy data, but that is worth the price when you need the internet somewhere in the world. ... show more

    • Great WiFi hotspot for travel
Model: 5GB Global (90 Days)
We are new to the mobile WiFi hotspot trend and this portable hotspot from FREEBOT is awesome. Especially at this price point. A great value and nice high tech for something so small and easy to keep with us when we travel. It comes with a free 5 GB global and 10 GB USA data to use for 90 days. It works exactly as intended and took us about 30 minutes to figure out how to use it. We love that there’s no SIM card or contract required. Set up is easy, just take your time if you’re new to this, like we were. Patience is a virtue. Ha ha! Big tip from us is keep a battery pack handy to charge it. This gets my 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ STARS Rating! I only give five star ratings to items that I use and exceed my expectations for quality, functionality, ease-of-use, premium appearance/looks, durability, & when possible: Sustainability/Ease on the Environment. I hope my review helped you gain some insight and I appreciate you taking the time to read it. Thank you! ... show more
