I strung 4 or 5 sets of these lights together and attached to fence with long brown zip ties (I think 14 or 16” zip ties - hard to find). Next I used a long outdoor extension cord and attached it to a on/off control that is lit up and turns on by someone pressing with their foot. I had to use an “Outdoor Extension Cord Safety Cover with Waterproof Protector” to keep rain out of that section. These lights are awesome! They are bright and I have never had any bulbs go out. The boxes come with one extra bulb, which I have saved - just in case. My cat sometimes breaks a zip tie (while jumping the fence) but its easy to fix because I keep extras zip ties on-hand. The entire setup cost over $250 but its well worth it and I anticipate more years of lovely lights around my backyard. Everyone who sees my yard at night complements the lights (which I am super proud of because I set the entire thing up by myself). Great product! ... show more

Bought these durable cafe lights for my outdoor deck, they were the best value for length I could find- I am very pleased with this purchase. Love everything about them so far, had them now for a couple of weeks- and since then, we have had a tropical storm pass through, and they held up amazingly.. love that they are a hard plastic, large , pretty , simply elegant bulbs. very durable and high quality! Wonderful for these quarantine nights outside on the deck with the family, they add a very nice ambience.. bright, yet relaxing. totally worth every penny! ... show more

I purchased this set of lights 5-7 YEARS ago. Other than the bulbs that had to be replaced due to actual damage, which is only like 2-3, every bulb is still going strong. I have had ZERO issues with this string of lights. If you need outdoor lights, BUY THESE!!

    • Lasted 3+ years in direct FL weather.
Strung these lights across our yard on aircraft cable. After 3 years we sold the house and they were still going strong. Had to clean the bulbs about once a year just because of the dust and algae that grew on them. Getting ready to order more for our new house. Tip: Before plugging them in and installing the bulbs, take a small screwdriver or hook tool and bend the lower contact in each bulb socket upwards just a bit. Some of them were a little too flat and didn't make contact unless you bend them up, so I just did it to all of them and they worked fine. ... show more

    • Nice lights!
These are really nice lights! I installed them in my small backyard patio last night and they light up the space well. I like how the bulbs are plastic and the cords seem very well made and rugged for outdoor use. It also has a port at the end to extend the lights if you want, which is great if I wanted to add more later (but I probably won't due to space limitations). There are holes at the top of each of the lights to screw, nail, or thread the bulbs to however you'd like to place them. I'm not sure why but the rating system asks about a remote control, but this doesn't come with one. Once you plug it in, the lights come on, similar to Christmas lights. It doesn't have a switch to flip them on and off, so be cognizant of that for your application. Luckily mine is plugged into an outlet controlled by a light switch, so it's perfect for my needs. The only thing that I'd say is that since the lights are LED and they aren't frosted, it can be a little bright, but I think I need to finagle with the placement a bit. Of course that's no fault of the lights. I'll see if I can add some pictures later or provide an update. ... show more
