I ordered this FOVAL 2000w Pure Sine Wave Inverter for my camping rig with a solar setup, and it's worked great with enough juice to run our appliances or even the AC for a while to cool things down a bit. It's about average size/weight for such an inverter these days, and as others have mentioned, it's odd that it only has two outlets, but we use an extension cord for one of them, and the other is just backup since we have outlets in our camper. Fortunately, our camper has storage near the front to mount the inverter and connect to the battery, but the two 24" power cables were only just enough to get to the terminals, so I opted to invest in higher-gauge AWG cables with a bit more reach and included a fuse in the power supply cable for additional safety and insurance. I'll let others speak to the consistency/accuracy of the meters, but for all our power needs, this inverter has been awesome. Be sure you have experience (or help/video research) to install this because you don't want to mess around with power supplies without some know-how. The FOVAL 2000W inverter is a very reasonable price for the consistency and quality of the product!

I got this, even before it’s been widely reviewed, because I have been impressed with FOVAL’s car battery trickle-charge maintainers, simply the best I’ve found at a reasonable price, and I went through quite a few, so I am inclined to like the brand. In addition to my home’s grid-tied solar panels which lower our electric bill, I also maintain an off-grid system with fewer panels, which existed before we added the grid-tied panels. After using modified sine wave inverters with that system and frying some electronics, and listening to the buzz of fans and other machines which don’t like square-wave power, I switched to pure sine… but they were a lot pricier then, so I got a 600W unit which was good enough for most things, while wishing for 1500W or more. At the $140 asking price for this as of this review (including $20 clippable coupon), this 2000W-rated pure sine inverter costs about the same as that old 600W one. Time will tell how the specs really play out. The unit looks cool and functional, nice displays, and the remote control is cool, I particularly appreciate the battery voltage indicator, which is important to be aware of when using an offgrid system with finite battery backup. Likewise the low-voltage alarm function, which I haven’t gotten working yet, but which is a step up from the system I’ve been using. The fan is reasonably silent, not that it’s a problem for me in the garage where it lives. The power is utilized some distance away in the main house. For a unit of this capacity it’s a little surprising to only have 2 AC outlets, but of course that’s expandable with power strips. Out of an abundance of caution I’ve doubled up the cables between battery and inverter since that’s potentially a lot of amps, and I do have an automotive fuse in the circuit to prevent meltdowns. That said, I don’t plan to use it over 1000w most of the time. I expect that this will incur more parasitic load when turned on but not in use than the 600W one, but haven’t tested it yet and it’s high time I got this initial review out. I’m predisposed to like the brand, having had good experience with it; the inverter seems solid, and at the current $140 price point this seems a huge value for a fairly high-power pure sine inverter. The quality seems good, the design nice, and my initial impressions installing and using it are good. If my opinion changes, I’ll update this review.

It has a heavy-duty build, clean design, is fairly compact and comes with everything you need. I have it currently used in a small solar setup, but my primary use is to use as a UPS that will carry my critical loads (internet, coffee maker, and TV) till the worst part of a hurricane passes and I can get my generator going without running it in the rain. It has all of the protection and functionality that you want in an inverter including overheating, short circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage, overload and grounding protections. It is a true 2000 watt as opposed to some of the cheaper ones that claim to be 2000w and are really only 1000w with a 2000w half second peak ability. Overall a solid value.

Good value for a stout and well designed inverter. Pure sine wave means that sensitive electronics shouldn't have a problem with the electricity produced by this inverter. Alternative power sources are great...necessary to plan ahead and get something in place before you need them...and this is great for that. We were in a hard hit section of North Carolina when Helene hit last year...and any power was really appreciated. Take your time with the installation...lots of tutorials these days so you shouldn't have too much trouble figuring this out. Nice inverter at a fair price.

Watts doesn't start reading until there is a pretty good load on it. The battery voltage reads about .6v lower than actual even with no power use and yes I have brand new connections, short cables and a brand new lithium battery. Cuts out early because of the voltage issue. Works but not impressed and would not buy again.
