I ordered 4 different bed rails and I like this one the best . It feels solid and secure . I had fallen out of my bed because of an illness a year ago then had a knee replacement surgery . I wanted a bed rail that would prevent the falling out of bed but even though this doesn’t extend further I think I’ll be aware it’s there thus preventing a fall . I weigh 180 and it started to move a tiny bit so we installed the screws and no more problem . It’s also great for helping to easily get out of bed . I like it very much. I’d give it a 5 star if it extended just a little bit further out . I’d order it again .sam.

I am reviewing the "FORTEMOTUS Bed Rails for Elderly Adults Safety - Thickened Grab Bar Bed Handrails with Adjustable Height, Heavy Duty Bed Side Rail with Non-Slip Handle, Motion Light, Storage Pocket& Safety Strap" This is a 5 star standout product!! I absolutely love this and recommend it to anyone who's having a little bit of trouble getting up outta bed. That just needs a little extra support! I ordered this for my sister who needs a bit of help to get up out of bed and sometimes there isn't a person right there, to assist! That's where this neat-o devise comes in handy! It is super sturdy and gives you an extra security strap to hold it down (under the mattress) if you need more! This specific one is extra cool because it has a motion sensor nightlight and you can set the light up to your liking with warm, cool or neutral and it lights up a nice wide area! That is the feature that gives this the most in my eyes! Other than that though, you can adjust this to fit your mattress exactly and the rails that slide under your mattress are actually flat so that you don't feel tham (rather than a rounded metal tube) and last, but not least, there's a little pocket for storage on the side! You can put magazines, books (thinner) remotes or phones maybe?! Anything you want right there! This is genius! It does way more than just helping someone up... It gives them more of an independent sense and that goes a long way! It's easy to assemble, works well and has great stability! I would repurchase this in a heartbeat if needed and would recommend this to others! Fantabulous deal!

I wanted to try this for my parents to use when they stay with us from time to time and it is exactly what we needed. The adjustable height fits comfortably with our 15" mattress, it feels secure and the light feature is a major bonus; Something we had not seen in a bed rail yet (we're new to bed rails!). I feel better knowing that my parents have a bit of a helping hand when they get in and out of the high bed we have. We have been worried about falls given some of their health conditions and this provides some peace of mind. UPDATE: This was NOT as structurally sound as we had hoped, the light was a pain to operate and we ended up replacing with something else already. If you don't secure the part of the railing that goes under the mattress to the frame of the bed or the mattress support slats, there is nothing holding this in place and it's kind of wobbly for someone with a disability or weakened physical strength to use with any confidence. The light is annoying as heck. You have to push the button repeatedly to get it to go off to cycle through the different settings. There should be a button for power on/off and another button for modes.

This literally saved my mother a few times. So my mother and I have serious back injuries so we have trouble standing up without a bit of help or something sturdy to grab on. It catches us at random times. Thisnhas literally been a life savior. I'm glad I set it up as soon as I could because a few days after, she was getting out of bed and she said she almost feel, if she didn't grab on to this before going down she would have hit the floor. It's easy to put together, the support is amazing, and it works amazing with the light as well.
